1975 or 1976 my Dad bought me a new TM 250 at 12 or 13 years old.A lot of motor from what I can remember. He raced flat track in his day on 650 Triumphs so he thought a little 250 would be just right for me.lol

Why do the 74 and 75 model TM400's always get lumped in with the earlier evil ones?

I rode one at the Suzuki dealers lot/track/uphill in 1971...I was just out of high school and was about 125 # SOAKING WET! Scary for sure. My buddy bought one (it was the orange one) and still has it in his garage today.

They were all evil to varying degrees. The '74 and '75 were less violent, but still too heavy, too powerful and poorly suspended.
