I know Tyler and Tim have polarized some people with past actions but last night was a good example of two things.

1. Tyler is very talented

2. No matter what happened in the past never give up.

Im really bummed that he is going back to AX and wont be doing a full SX series with PC. Title potential for sure.
5/5/2013 10:43am
Totally agree. They rubbed me the wrong way the first time but the kid has cleaned up his act and deserves another chance. I am sure Mitch will make a run at him and he'd be crazy to turn it down.

Oh and how about that podium interview? Handled it like a pro and thanked both teams.

I think the time spent in arenacross has definitely paid off for him.

Congrats to him on a well deserved win. I am sure at least a few teams will ask if he wants a ride next year.

He's committed to AX for two more years. He wants to go to school as well so his AX gig pays him some decent money and he can knock out the schooling while getting paid to race. He couldn't do that racing SX full time.

Smart kid.

They should just go back to the old format for the Arenacross schedule; start in November or December and end before the East series starts. That way the kids going to the road to supercross can do AX and move to SX right after.

If they do that I wouldn't be surprised to see Bowers do AX and then get on a PC Kawi for the East coast. They basically have the same sponsors and it gives good exposure to the AX series without taking anything away from SX. Hansen used to be on the PC team for SX only because of Monster. Bowers could be that man now and could be doing AX and SX instead of SX and MX.

seem to remember quite a few posters on here stating AX wasn't "big boy" speed. haha. so funny now. wish i had the energy to dig those posts up.

tyler has consistency and the nerves to hold a lead (take notes davalos). tyler woulda been a title threat if he ran the whole series.

He killed it. I hate that Musquin didnt win the title but I loved to see Tyler get his first win.

I wonder what the money difference is between being the AX champ for Babbits vs title contending for PC?

Well said jay! I agree 100%. Tyler showed some great speed and skill last night. Who knows....maybe we'll see him on a full blown/ full season PC ride one day. He has one of the best styles of riding I've seen. Extremely skilled.

The past is OVER. Everything that has happened in Bowers life led to this moment.

Geico, Pro Circuit, KTM should seriously consider signing Bowers. He is a bonafide winner

That was a great ride for the win. On the broadcast they said he has only raced 15 supercross events, so to get a win in 15 tries is amazing.

His stint with PC may be the most successful fill-in ride ever, no?

Bowers is a man among boys in Arenacross. Sure would be cool to see him this summer- I think he'd look great on a 450 in the nationals!

Bowers has more than 15 starts. That number sounded pretty low to me when they said it on the broadcast.

According to the Racer X vault Bowers has raced 27 SX main events. 13 in the 250 class and 14 in the 450's. That includes 4 250 races this year that were not in the vault yet (3 east rounds and the shootout).

250
7 on Yamaha of Troy in 2008
2 on Babbits in 2012
4 on Pro Circuit in 2013

450
10 on Moto Concepts in 2009
3 on Babbits in 2011
1 on H&H in 2012

He did very well this year for PC. If they do change the Arenacross schedule to allow him to race AX and the east region he could be a factor next year.

Pretty cool story!

Wonder what happens from here.

And wonder what Davalos is thinking right now looking at that ride.

So I guess they meant he had raced 15 250sx races?

Still impressive either way! Has another fill-in racer ever won in the 250 class?

No shit Jay...forget about his old man and world peace in jeopardy over green peas. This kid has the talent and fortitude to make it to the top of the box in SX. He's as good or better than anybody else out there...and if he can ride and man handle a fofiddy like did last night, well look out is all I can say.

Not bad...then again Dungey was one for one if I remember right. Wink

Great ride. Nothing wipes away the shortcomings of one's past like being a winner in the present.

Winning at this level is no fluke. And Tyler seems to be up to the task.

But Pop's needs to check out and give Tyler a chance.

His riding style is definitely different and if he makes it over to SX full time, I will be a fan. Did anybody else notice how much he rides standing up?

I wish I had more time to watch AX.

bowers is a beast and congrats to him. being i race tyler in AX i knew he had the ability to win. what bothers me is how prior to him doing well most in here said he wouldnt because AX isnt hard, short laps. he wont have the endurance. just as you all doubted HIM and AX before this race and with some still saying he is a man against boys in AX thats so not the case. YES he dominates in AX but just as you all discredited him before this race you discredit AX and the rest of us you race it. Also i know the east wasnt as deep as it could have been, but Tyler beat the guys in 5th place back to 10th about the same way he does the top 10 in AX . so all im saying is tyler is a bad ass and deserved that win but it just show you even tho AX is smaller the riders in AX put in hard work

TB has done well in all his races to bad hes tied into the AX con, but he seams to be happy where hes @. You have to take the naysayers with a grain of salt, everyone thinks there type of racing is the best (and it is for them and the hardest but just go ask ZO what he thinks about offroad now.lol

They said as much on the broadcast.. the crew mentioned both his 15 250SX starts and his premier class stuff. You just got selective hearing during that part.

I would think a SX Win pays a pretty solid Bonus from Mitch? I am thinking he isn't going to make it back to AX Ultimatey Kawasaki and Monster pay the bills and wins look good to both of them. Zach Ames will get them a Championship next year if Bowers isn't there anyway.
