USA has podiumed the last 4 years, but we all expect them to win–still I think for most, which is why the other countries celebrate the wins so much–and it was fucking close this year, a bad start or a tip over here or there was all that was in it...

But... 4 years of surfaces and track designs that aren't really replicated that often if at all in the USA.

Hills–Yep, GH, Millvile, Budds and Colorado–not lots of off cambers and twisty turny crap though, they're all almost straight up and down

Almost no rocks anywhere?

Hard pack ruts snotty ruts?

What say you... Would you rather see some more diversity in the USA tracks, are they too homogenous?

The Euro tracks differ like that from wee to week,it's nothing new and I'm not suprised that the Euros say the dirt is good.

Many GP riders hate Lommel and in turn plenty don't like hardpack, the US tracks are all so much more similar to each other, racing those tracks all the time hones that set of skills, hence even the best guys in the AMA can struggle on some of the tracks of the last 4 years

A National at a place like the old Carlsbad would be great,Southwick seemed the only track on the circuit that was a talking point brought out the specialists like Dowd etc

I don't think the track did us in necessarily at this race. Our guys seemed to ride it quite well. It did get us from the standpoint that it was going to be hard to make up for a mid pack start. Who would have ever guessed that both Barcia and Webb would suffer such bad launches in that 3rd moto?

well, maggiora next year is much of the same- maybe more bluegroove hardpack... maybe they should send the same team again now they know what to expect!

Looked to me on TV that it was a bit narrow in places. Maybe if it had been a little wider it would have been possible to make quicker passes coming through the pack after a bad start? When a pack of similar speed riders got together it looked like they were freight training around and not able to make many attempts at passing because there was one fast line in most corners. Just my worthless opinion. One thing for sure, it was exciting to watch and our guys gave it all they had. Congrats to France!

I thought JMarts bike looked a little bit off. He was getting bounced around pretty good in corner entrys. May have been suffering from too stiff suspension.

Alot of the corners were stop and go or tip toe off camber/downhill. Really hard to make up alot of time in corners like that.

Our guys finished right next to the French team aside from the mild catastrophe of the last moto.

Of course our guys are going to say it was slick, they lost! They did well though.

The dirt was awesome at Ernee this weekend. I walked the track at the end of the day and the dirt seemed really tacky and spongey under foot, there was plenty of ruts and a lot of lines to choose from. Thought the track prep was excellent this weekend, just wish they could do the same at the GP's

The track was amazing. Rough, some ruts, some outside berms, uphills, downhills, and did I mention it was rough? Traction looked good. It was a bit tight in a few places but overall there was plenty of passing to be had.

Great track overall.

So they tilled it deeper then?

Would you say they disced it as deep as an American track or somewhere in between an American and a GP track?

Yes, but, "Not good for TV", or "They don't flow", etc. etc.

It was definitely tilled deeper than they would at a GP, there were certainly some sections of the track that looked more like a national track with long deep ruts, but there was also some harder parts. I would say it was a good mix of the two

The track surface was so wierd, it looked mega hardpack but when i walked the track at the end of the day it was like walking on a sponge. There was some woodchip mixed in with the soil and it was awesome
