I love riding street almost as much or as equally as riding moto/off-road.
I honestly only want to be rich just so I can afford track days :D

I have one of these:

Either of these will be added to the stable eventually

i have a 05 10r and a 99 model r1. i love riding them but the retards on the road make street riding too dangerous, they are track day only now.

off-road is still better riding imo.

I put about 10,000 miles a year on the road, never in town though,it's just to dangerous. Mostly long rides across country.
Rode from Tucson to the MXoN in Colorado with a couple of buddies, fun.
Had a WR 450 that I made into a Supermoto and that is the most fun I have ever had on a street bike, a couple of Go-Kart tracks let the Supermotos go at it.
Off road, moto and some trials are still is my ride of choice.

Nice bikes!

So true about cagers.....I feel like sportbikes having massive brakes is more for emergency stopping then going fast around the track ..lol.

the gixxers are fun but I'd rather ride my RM 125 any day of the week.

the track is definitely where it's at on these things but I just wish it wasn't so damn expensive. It's one thing buying a set of track tires ($300) that you'll burn up in a weekend but the $100-300 entry fee just for a damn track day is fucking ridiculous! At least that's how it is in California. If I'm not riding dirt, I'm up in the local canyons with my buddies. Not the safest place but the roads are too nice to pass up.

Just the road course these days I believe. Fun track but a bit cramped. Eagles Canyon is more fun IMO.

i hear you on the expensive part. i got a baby coming any day so my track day money for 2011 and probably most of 2012 is really thin right now. at least trail riding is still cheap and right here close by.

If track days were like $50 a day, I think the sport would be alot bigger (road racing) and have more of a following..I dont know about Europe but MotoGP is fucking huge there compared to our sportbike series. I think track days all around the country are no cheaper then $100.

The guys who track cars are all independelty wealthy too..I went up to Limerock one time for a track day and everyone there had a 18 wheeler with a race ready 911 turbo or some sort of track'd BMW ..sorry to get off topic but if its on asphault you probably cant afford it!

Twisty roads are fun though Smile

CBR 954RRs are nice, I bought one new back in 03 and kept it until 05...Currently have an 08 CBR1000RR with full HRC kit for the engine (puts out over 200hp), and for track days I've got an 03 RC51.

Yes, from ridesmart event. They put on a pretty good track experience. Not bad price either.

I still ride the street but you just can't push on the street like you can on the track. Being a mx racer, if i am not charging im not having as much fun as i want to be. Alot of the skills crossover to the asphalt from the dirt. The only reason im not racing on the asphalt now is because i can't afford both mx and sportbike racing. I will not give up mx!

the front end of the r1 is a 1-piece airtech fairing, that was not installed in those pictures.
