Cool post. Here in Canada foreign riders also make our series and riders better. Besides, patriotism is ignorant anyway, it's and egocentric attitude that contributes to violence, gangs, wars, etc.

What you describe sounds more like Nationalism, not Patriotism. There is a difference.
