Too old for the PW and KX but my 2:

1. XR75

2. CR125M

I raced both
I'd have a hard time arguing with those.

I didn't have a kx60, I started out on a yz50 and when I moved up to kx80's, the kx60 was born. The kx60 didn't seem to change for many years until they introduced the much tricker 65cc version.

The 84 kx80 was trick, it had a front disc brake, was water cooled and had uni track shock. I think that era changed mini bikes forever.

Agreed, my buddy an XR 200, sunk in a pond, still ran. Somehow got some Kerosene ran through it, still ran. Honda built some tough bikes.

Somehow I thought you'd say Polini, Mr. 50.

Cheers.

Measured in rewarding experience / $:
1. PW50 - Buy one of these for a son (or daughter) for Christmas and stand back - its gonna change the next 15 years of your life
2. Hodaka 100B - Perfect bike for everything from teaching how to use a clutch on up
Both stone reliable, low maintenance, and an absolute blast to ride

For Nostalgia:
These got me hooked:
MR-50 - I'd pay big bucks to find this bike
XR-75 - This bike taught me how to work on 4 strokes, I never had to bring it to a shop did it all myself and it ended up being almost a full on JWRP replica....button mag baby!
CR100M (sleeved 125) - This bike scared me!

These got me fast::
YZ100E
YZ250G
RM250X - turned pro on this rocketship.

For Historic Importance:
DT1
CR125
The first Huskys Edison brought over.

my son started riding a few times on the tank when he was months old. then he rode on the tank all the time on a z50 he was like 1 and 2 years old and all he wanted to do was ride around the yard all day on the tank.
at 3 he got a pw50 at 5 he got a cobra cm50 at 6 he got a kx65 at 7 and at 9 he got a kx85 then a kx125 at 12 or 13. he dabbles a little on one of my 05 kx250's

I started riding when i was 9 on a freinds yamaha 60 then my brother got a tm100 i used to ride it when i was 10..I remember getting the speedometer to 30...man that was the funnest the bike was so big it seemed.
then i got a 77 rm80 i rode it all day in my yard...broke the frame every other week and my dad would weld it back
then i got a brand new 83 rm80 that thing was fast and i rode it so much that i would end up having to push start it because its top end was so worn.
then my parents couldnt afford to buy any more bikes so that was that until i got in my 20's..
