According to the facebook page it's open 1 weekend a month, 2 weekends for the 3 months that have 5 weeks.

Won't be putting any other tracks out of business with a schedule like that.

the 60's and 80's tracks sound real fun, sounds like a track i might be able to take the old 74 CZ on. i think im mostly pumped that the peters family is running this. great bunch of people that know how to organize great races, as well as having some of the best tracks. i will definatly be there on the sunday of opening weekend!!!!!

i want more pics though....the 3 is just teasing me

Just for the record, it takes a lot of time and energy to be a "dirt farmer" and my brother, Marc just doesn't want to be married to the place, plus he realizes people get burnt out on a track if they ride it day in and day out, so run once a month and people get excited to ride there, plus gives him the opportunity to change the tracks each month. The Ranch will have a couple of selected mx races there, along with mountain bike racing and other specialty events. Our goal is to create a fun place that people will want to come to and plan it out knowing that the track will be open the 3rd weekend of the month.

I think that is a good idea and one that we are doing (kind of) over here on the east coast @ ampMX. We are open for prepped practice every other weekend and ONLY on Sunday. With limiting it to these days, we have been getting very big turnouts, in this area, for a practice!! We also have tried to always make upgrades to the track and facility and they do not go unnoticed when the riders aren't out there all the time. It makes it more special on the days that it is open and turns it into more of an "event" and not just a practice. As long as you guys are not trying to make a living doing this, your once a month schedule should work just how you hope it will.

Good luck with it!! I am sure it will do well!! Beautiful track for sure!!

I would guess the lack of any response to this, Answers the question.

I don't understand why there needs to be a response to this ? Secondly he left the venue on his own free will and then Marc was approached to run the venue.

The only trouble with rippin' it deep is how much water it takes to keep it from turning into the dust bowl. If their opening times are as limited as it appears it might not be such a problem. (I'm a fan of deep, too). I don't know why I'm worried about it....it ain't like I'm gonna load up and head there from BFE.Blush

I had heard two rumors, one that he left on his own free will, and one that he was forced out by the land owners, just want to make sure before I support them that it was on good terms. That place was awesome and looks to be even better.

I'm not going to sling mud, he left on his own free will. It's your choice not to support my brother who is NOT the land owner, plenty of tracks all around so cal for you to support. Rumors are just that rumors...nothing more.

Marc knows what he's doing when it comes to tracks, he is praying for rain don't think that will happen so he has 3 water trucks for the weekend, to cover his ass and the track ha I'll try and get pics to post during the weekend !
