Sweet video....... you can almost hear Motley Crue in the background when you see the #4 Lechien jersey. Wink

......the KX 500 graphics from 89' were cool.

Cool video! He might be a little bigger but still smooth as he was. Nice track too. I don't remember Barona being that nicely prepped in late 80s.

I couldn't tell his graphics are the copy of 1989 KX! Grinning

Thanks, that was pretty cool. I would love to see him at LL. Imagine that, Lechien, Ward, Stanton, Dymond, Johnson, and if someone could drag O'mara on a bike all line up again at LL with Bailey anouncing it. It is such a treat to see these guys on bikes again, if i was at that track I would have been glued to the fence feeling like it was '87 again and I was 12yrs old. Thanks again Donn.

Good video. Really liked him in the '80's.
If we had the internet and message boards when he was in his prime, JLaw wouldn't even get noticed. He was a machine.

Glad to see he has shed some pounds. He looks healthy and happy and life doesn’t get any better than that.

How come no comments from all of you old school guys about him being on a thumper?

Spot on with how well he looks and seems to be at peace where he is in life. Kudos to him on losing the pounds. Still looks smooth as on a bike,

That was very interesting.
One question, who was riding the #31 two smoke 125cc Yamaha? That bike was going as fast as Dogger on the KX 450.

Probably a good thing they didn't do a reality show on the Dogger in his prime. He will always be one of my favorite riders.

Most 2 stroke guys are not anti four stroke.........just anti "double" the displacement.

Simple as that.

I believe that's Ryan Beat testing the YZ 2 stroke for Transworld.

I love Lechien's style almost as much as I loved Bailey's style. Smooth and effortless. Looks like he still can ride a scooter very well.

I remember a picture back in the 80's in MXA or maybe it was "Motocross" of Ron taking a blue groove berm completely flat with his leg out by the front wheel so far I am not sure how he didn't break his knee with the handlebar. That pic was my favorite pic for years.

ding ding ding!

Yeah that's Ryan Beat on the YZ250. I think we're gonna build that thing up for him to race at Hangtown!

And I'm glad you liked the Dogger vid. I was starstruck all day long. Wink

the 80's were so cool. Any top rider from the 80's is considered a rock star to this day. I don't think any riders from any other decade are or will ever be held in the regard of the 80's mx rock stars. I'm very happy I was raised in mx smack dab in the middle of all that and got to see all of them race up close and personal back then.
