On a related note, I rode a 2010 KTM 150 the other day. Talk about light switch powerband! I wonder if KTM hard parts will be offering different powerbands for it? It was certainly fun.

Have you tried a 300SX conversion? 300 Jug on a 250SX or 300 Stripped back?!?!

No but my buddy who is a shop owner says a big bore 250 would bring him happily back to a two stroker.

Funny how Ryan comments the powerband & sound of the YZ250 - and get's a big smile on his face... That says alot (and to think he hadn't even gotten on the YZ125/144 at that time)!

But isn't it kinda funny how a rider of his caliber and the job he has (is/wasn't he a testrider for Kawi?) has never ridden a 250 2T before...

I don't know if I'm about to laugh or cry thinking about that comment!

That's my point! Crazy talk... Not having ridden or seen the bees race past is a sad thing...

You guys should try the 300 for MX... either way you do it, it is a nice ride, and although I am sure a 500 is fun, there has to the be an "PHUCKIN TOO MUCH" factor at some point no!?!? haha... Maybe not...

Beyond being a better sounding and better performing bike in general, the best part of a 2 stroke is the mid air throttle blip, and not hearing a farting sound, a rev limiter, or a backfire like the 4 strokes
