what an awesome racer and good guy!!!! I think DC should put him in the announcers booth for the TV coverage... He had a few guest appearances and was great...

Grant you legend!

Not many people hold as many different pro MX and SX titles as you do.

Plus you are just an all round nice guy - the sport is gonna miss you buddy.

Remember not to wave over the triple on your way out Tongue

I wonder if this is due to his injury at Red Bud or if it was a lack of a ride. Possibly a combination of the 2. Either way i am sure he has made the best decision for himself. He is a great guy and i had a few oppurtunities to hangout with him. A conversation with him in 2002 in a hotel lobby in atlanta definetly help me with my direction in life. GL8 you rule!

Agreed on both counts... A world title, two US national titles and two Supercross 250 titles... that is a successful career! A fighter who rose to the occasion when the pressure was on... true champion.

Say it ain't so?

Grant, I was there when you won your first big international race, the 125cc GP in Hänchen/Germany. I stood 10 feet in front of you at the podium and saw your tears rolling. Man, what came afterwards! Will it ever be matched? Who cares, you'll always be in the record books. This time I might shed a tear...
