along with the already sidelined Osborne, added to the 6 top riders out in MX1, Desalle, Ramon, De Dycker, Seb Pourcel, Bobreyshev, Philippearts.

The last quarter of the GP season has really taken some names!

I read De Dycker was supposed to return before the end of the season, but do you know what the situation is with Bobryshev and whether he is out for the Nations?

I'm pretty sure Bobryshev's out for the rest of the year.......

Serious bummer.

In defence of the "US fans", most of them are fast asleep now.

Most of the GP injuries this year have occured at 'National Championships', I wonder if teams are becoming a bit more reluctant to let riders compete in them?

I assume The German Team will be Nagl, MX1 ,Kenny Mx2 & Schiffer MX3 ?
With the injuries, their chances are looking better & better for a podium.

It sounded like in the PC at the British GP, they though he would be out the rest of the year, but it was not 100% confirmed.

It would be cool if he could even get back for the Nations in a couple of weeks.

As for De Dycker, I heard that too, but I see Roelants is confirmed as the MX3 rider for Team Belgium now, so maybe Ken is still injured.

Oscottie, yea Teillet was flying I saw him at the British GP and he was really really fast. A top five regular maybe podium and wins in 2012 if he can stay injury free I think. Very very good rider who just needs some momentum behind him to run at the front, he has a lot of potential.

Marc de Reuver is out too.
Gonna need an operation on the shoulder injury.
No MXdN for Marc also.
Wonder who the replacement MX3 rider will be?

That's bad news for Marc and Holland. De Reuver showed some speed this year when he wasn't hurt too.

Herlings may not even qualify for the final at the MXDN now at this rate, and will have terirble gate pics anyway even if he does! Would Krass ride MX3 then?

Mike Kras rides MX2.
I think Herjan Brakke will be the replacement.

That would really suck for most of the riders. It could be difficult for them to secure personal sponsors if they weren't allowed to race the national championships.

Martin Honda said they are going to look at not racing the races outside the GPs next year ( or at least considering more carefully the ones they do) after Bobby's crash.

Especially now that Belgium is looking to be Strijbos, van Horebeek and Roelants.

I'd imagine Gariboldi Yamaha isn't a fan of it either. Last year Kullas twisted his knee and now this.

Yeah definitely, I can't even think of one guy who's riding for them in the MX2 class this year!

I think Mattis Karro was best Honda rider in this years MX2 championship on a MVD-R Honda.

Bobryshev and Gonçalves race ready for Gaildorf
Evgeny Bobryshev will make his return to competition this weekend (3-4 September) for the GP of Europe in Gaildorf, Germany. He will re-join team-mate Rui Gonçalves, as the pair line-up to make an assault on the top four positions in the overall standings, at the last two Grand Prix of the season.

Bobryshev was precluded from taking part in the GP of Great Britain due to a neck injury sustained at the Balen round of the Belgian Championship in the week running up to the Grand Prix. The initial diagnosis was that he had suffered damage to the C7 vertebra and he was advised not to ride in Great Britain as a result.

Since then, further tests and secondary X-rays have been carried out and it has been found that the injury is not as serious as first thought. Although there is damage to the C7 vertebra, and this is causing discomfort to the rider, it has in no way weakened the spine and therefore Bobryshev is no more susceptible t o another neck or back injury than at any other time.

This is great news for the Honda World Motocross Team, who now returns to a full-strength squad for the GP of Europe. However, Bobryshev’s absence from the last round of the championship means that he has now lost fourth position in the standings to Max Nagl. This position he will be keen to re-capture.

For Gonçalves, the GP of Europe marks a chance to return to form after a difficult outing in Great Britain, which saw the Portuguese struggle with debilitating cramps in the re-started second moto. After two weeks of training and physiotherapy this problem now appears to be behind him.

Evgeny Bobryshev, Honda World Motocross
“I am so happy that I’m allowed to ride again this weekend. I was worried that I may be out for the rest of the season but I was given the all clear by the specialist earlier this week. It was just the news I wanted to hear. I rode for the first time since the accident this week and felt good, even though I was a bit stiff on the bike. We will see how things develop at Gaildorf.”

Rui Gonçalves, Honda World Motocross
“I am looking forward to getting back on it this weekend after a few difficulties I suffered at Matterley Basin. I will put them behind me now and look ahead to this weekend. I have raced at Gaildorf a lot of times so I know the track well. When I was racing 80cc I was already riding there so it’s definitely familiar to me, even though it has been off the calendar for a few years
