Dude, I have been rocking the SAME SG-10s since they first came out, bought the first pair the dealer had !!! I replaced a pair of Tech-8s (no complaints they served me well too) with these boots they barely have any wear, they have no bootie but the ankle is lined with this memory foam stuff so you get a better "toe to shifter" feel IMO....I say SG-10 all the way.

SG10's. Great quality and last forever.
What he said.

I am getting a new pair ($325)
I have white, size 11, SG-10s, for $75 plus ship.
Soles are good, buckles work like new, some wear on uppers.,

SG-10'S by far, have had both, the SG-10's will last much longer and are more comfortable.

Before you buy either I suggest you look at the Sidi Crossfires. My last pair lasted three seasons of heavy abuse, and they are beat now but they still offer all the protection and support they did when they were new. And, they are super comfy right from the start. Maybe the SG10's are good too, don't know, but I know the tech8's don't compare to the Sidi's from my experience.

Sg 10s feel wide at the ankle to me. They make me want to put my feet closer together, very well made boot though.

Thanks for the info guys, I really appreciate it. Seems to me the SG 10's kick ass!

Do the SG 10's run true to size? I am going white size 13

I like the fact that people are offering good used boots on this post for sale, keep it up!! Great place to help some folks out.

Yes definitely, I lucked out because I have always bought my boots a size small so they ended up just right.

Both good boots, I went from T8's to SG10's and definately prefer the Gaerne's. I started to not like the bootie is my main reason.

My own sizing experience: I have owned three pairs of SG10s over the years and always buy the same size as my tennis shoes.

What do you guys think is the best excuse to try on boots in store and just leave to get them online?

Tell them straight up. If you can't match the price then I'm going elsewhere. In this day and age a lot of it has to do with price, but there is something to be said about face-to-face contact when purchasing something.

Well....I was looking at getting a pair of the TCX Pro 2.1's.....but it seems a lot of guys really prefer the SG10's. maybe I'll have to go try on a pair and see how the feel.

these newer gaerne' boots feel more broken in compared to the old ones? I know I had a pair many years ago....and it took me 3 months to get those damn thing broke in.
