I'm not real pleased with the last two sets of Tech 8's I've had. Going to try a different brand next time. Between myself and the kids, we've been through 10 or more pair of A Stars. Not sure what brand will be next.

I ordered some Tech-7s online after wearing AS for 10+ years, when they got here I tried them on and sold them the next day. WAY too stiff, like snow ski boots. I heard all the hype about the Sidis, so I bought the Sidi Crossfire TAs and realized what I was missing. Best feeling boot I ever put my feet in.

Tech 7's suck got a pair free, yet I am still wearing my ragged out Tech 6's, why did they quit making those. Next pair of boots I will get will be a set of Gaernes.

It's like the Tech 8's are old skool and the Tech 7's are new school, just like the people who wear them.

I really like the way they are so stiff and heavy to be honest. I've had both ankles injured wearing other boots and with the 8's I've had some nasty incidents and no issues. Like when the bike falls right on the boot when the toe is pointed up and the bike just rests on it and it doesn't flex. That is a stiff boot.

I do hate the buckles after a year now. The are really hard to get on and off so I am looking forward to the new ones to see if they are any better.

It seems as though I have worn Tech 8's forever. I'd love to try the SIDI's or whatever they call the Oxtar TCX now...

I have Tech 7's, I've put on about 20 hours. Don't like them. Didn't have much feel right away for the controls, but that got better the more I rode. The thing I can not stand is the damn buckles. I can never get all of them to shut. I'm always riding around with one or two unbuckled.

"Dude! your boot is unbuckled!"

I've replaced them with new, done everything I can think of. I'm done, I'm getting T8s.

Well, if you are going to Tech 8's , buy you some extra buckles for the tool box. You are going to need them. I've replaced quite a few of mine, two are currently on the fritz. Plastic insert on the buckle itself breaks and keeps the buckle from staying closed at times. On one of my vintage bikes, I have torn holes on the inner rt. boot while kickstarting the bike. Shitty plastic on the inner, no leather whatsoever. Piss poor quality as far as I'm concerned. What you might expect from a $99.00 pair of boots, not a $300.00 plus set.

Ran Tech 8's for years, then last year got a pair of Tech 7's.

I have no problems with them and like them much better that the Tech 8's.

The new 8's are more inline with the 7's and 10's and could change that.

Good, stiff sole that feels great on big hits, don't seem bulky.
Bad, buckles are a bit hard to do up, never had them come undone though.
I would get them again

Have ridden with Tech 8's for years now, but when they wore out I got a pair of Tech 7's. The 7's have the molded/integrated sole, similiar to the Tech 10's, and I'll be dammed if I cant feel the frigg'n brake pedal with them! 6 weeks later and I still havent got used to the lack of feel. Sure miss the 8's. Anyone else notice this with boots that have the same type of sole?
Yes my Fox V3's are that way been riding on them for a year and still hook the brake pedal and shifter on occassion.....my previous forma's JS edition with the zeebra stripes were the sh!t though could feel everything with them.....haven't worn Tech 8's in years bec I didn't like the clostrophobic feel the booties gave me and always had to wear a size bigger just to get comfortable

I love my tech 10's but I only have used Tech 8s and shitty thor boots before those so i don't have a huge basis for comparison. my bro has run both the 7's and now 8's and he likes them both.

That is the sentiment of every person I have ever talked to who bought Crossfire boots. Including me.

I wore the same pair of Tech 8's for 3 years, after everything having a hole in it, i decided to get a new pair. I didn't have the money for a new Tech 8, so i bought a brand new pair of TCX's online for $107.50. And they are amazing, and run a wee bit small. But I would reccomend them to anyone.

Get Sidi's, you'll thank yourself the minute you ride with them.

Try on a pair of Gaerne, I love them myself. I wore Alpinestars (Tech 6, 7, 8) for years but made the switch last year. Have to say I wish I switched a long time ago.

Well apparently I'm not the only one! I actually think the 7's are pretty comfortable, and now that they're broken in, I dont find them too stiff, but something about that sole just sucks for me! They are shaped different than the old school sole, and I guess they just dont agree with my big ass 14 foot. Like I said, the brake lever is just numb under the boot. My two pairs of 8's with giant holes in the bottom have since been sent to A-stars for repair. Hey A-stars, if you're reading this PLEASE hurry!Whistling
