Have ridden with Tech 8's for years now, but when they wore out I got a pair of Tech 7's. The 7's have the molded/integrated sole, similiar to the Tech 10's, and I'll be dammed if I cant feel the frigg'n brake pedal with them! 6 weeks later and I still havent got used to the lack of feel. Sure miss the 8's. Anyone else notice this with boots that have the same type of sole?

I really like the way they are so stiff and heavy to be honest. I've had both ankles injured wearing other boots and with the 8's I've had some nasty incidents and no issues. Like when the bike falls right on the boot when the toe is pointed up and the bike just rests on it and it doesn't flex. That is a stiff boot.
I do hate the buckles after a year now. The are really hard to get on and off so I am looking forward to the new ones to see if they are any better.
It seems as though I have worn Tech 8's forever. I'd love to try the SIDI's or whatever they call the Oxtar TCX now...
"Dude! your boot is unbuckled!"
I've replaced them with new, done everything I can think of. I'm done, I'm getting T8s.
I have no problems with them and like them much better that the Tech 8's.
The new 8's are more inline with the 7's and 10's and could change that.
Bad, buckles are a bit hard to do up, never had them come undone though.
I would get them again
