Keep him 450.

put him in a sprinter van on the road for the east coast rounds. Go old school! His set up and results are awesome.

Agreed, he's good on a 250 but much better on a 450

Do you think he would work out of a sprinter van?

no.

But TLD doesn't go to the east coast in SX.

He needs to stay on 450, he is TOO BIG for 250.

If Honda was smart they'd throw him under their awning back east...

If TLD could get Malcolm and another 450 Rider (someone like Christian Craig or Weston Peick) under their tent; do you think they could get the sponsors to dole out the $$$ to keep the semi on the road and justify the costs involved???

The Up-Side is they already have a Team running; however, the cost of going back East for SX? I'm guessing another $500K...there's A LOT of behind the scenes expenses...so...

They may as well add 2 East-Coast 250 Riders...and...VOILA!

Problem solved...anyone got the Check-Book out?

Let's make it a Cool-Million!

Those might be the best looking bikes in the pits.

Mookie looks too big for a 250 IMO. He still goes fast on them but he is at a disadvantage going against guys like Bagget who weigh like 120 pounds.

Did pretty well at some rounds on the ktm this year.

Kid can go as fast as he wants on anything, but the 450 is suited to him much better-especially outdoors.

As in just 2? Not 2 and 22? Care to elaborate?

He should stay 100% 450. Someone will support him next season. Hopefully it's TLD he looks great on their bike.

I know people say he's two big, but I still feel he needs one more year on the 250f in SX.

It is my unprofessional opinion that he very well could prove himself in SX if he was on a 450. I don't know anything about SX other than what I see on TV but it SEEMS like horsepower is even more crucial than it is in MX (where you can find outside lines to carry more momentum or whatnot), which if I am correct, would put Mookie at an even greater disadvantage in the 250 class when guys like AC weigh like 80 pounds.

My old man used to say (old wives' tale, I guess) that every 10 pounds is equal to 1 horsepower. I think I read recently that the ratio is less than that but still, the more weight you have to move (on the bike OR on the person), the more taxing it will be to the motor. Horsepower is crucial in the 250 class because they always want and need more. In the 450 class, there is no shortage of power though. Mookie might be a top 5 dude up there for all we know.

You can't run top 10 in 450sx until you run at least top 3-5 in 250sx!

Just ask Weston Peick...

That's true. He's a big guy too. The 450 class is no joke, that's for sure.

I know a guy that knows a guy that races pro and he made WAY more money making mains in the 450 class than he would have getting like top 5 or whatever in the 250s. I probably have the specifics wrong but it was something like that. Maybe it was just a matter of making the night show vs. making the main but I'm probably wrong. I'm just a fat guy.
