Anyone else notice bubba burgers is a sponsor? Meat industry going to replace the energy drinks? Free hotdogs and burgers at the dome sure makes $10 beers more acceptable.
I think they had Bubba's as a sponsor in years past.
From what I know Butlers are still running the team. The big switch was from BTO to Rocky Mountain ATV. I heard from a birdie that Rocky Mountain was actually acquiring BTO and that BTO would continue to operate as they have in the past, but Rocky Mountain would own them.
Rocky Mountain ATV/MC and Butler Brothers MX LLC are pleased to announce a multi-year partnership introducing the new Rocky Mountain ATV/MC-KTM- WPS Team. Rocky Mountain ATV/MC will be the title sponsor for the team and Forrest Butler of BBMX will be the team owner. Davi Millsaps, Blake Baggett and Benny Bloss have signed on as riders for 2017, and will be riding 2017 Factory KTM 450SX-F and 250SX-F dirt bikes throughout the year.
Orlando native Davi Millsaps (#18) has been racing professionally since 2004, earning two titles in his career and five top-five overall finishes. His latest achievement came this past summer as he took the 2016 Rockstar Energy Drink Nationals MX1 Championship. He also won the 2014 Monster Energy Cup. He will be racing in the 450SX and MX classes for the 2017 season.
Blake Baggett (#4) also joins the team with a 250MX national title under his belt, and six top-five overall finishes. Professionally racing since 2009, Baggett will be starting his third year racing in the 450 class, and will race both 450 SX and MX for the 2017 season.
2016 AMA National Outdoor Motocross Rookie of the Year sensation Benny Bloss (#34), who finished 6th overall in the 450MX class for the outdoor series and was the 2015 winner of the prestigious AMA Horizon Award, will pilot a 250 for the Supercross series. He will join his teammates in the 450 class for his sophomore season of the outdoor nationals.
“We have always been blessed to have great sponsors, many of which have been long-time, loyal sponsors here at BBMX,” says Team Owner, Forrest Butler. “Rocky Mountain is the next chapter for us, and we are both pleased and very proud to announce our new race team, the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC- KTM-WPS Team. We have a great rider line up this year with Davi Millsaps and Blake Baggett in the 450 class and rookie sensation Benny Bloss in the 250 class. Along with our longtime sponsors such as FLY, Bubba Burger and FMF, the team at Rocky Mountain ATV/MC shares our drive to win and we feel that 2017 is going to be our year.”
“We are very excited for our new partnership with BBMX and the Factory Services KTM team. The driving force of RMATV/MC has always been our passion for powersports, so the opportunity to create the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC-KTM- WPS Team seemed like the perfect way to continue to share that passion with the industry,” says Dan Thomas, CEO of Rocky Mountain ATV/MC. “Davi Millsaps, Blake Baggett and Benny Bloss are all excellent riders, each incredibly talented and driven. We are proud to stand behind them and cheer them on throughout the 2017 SX and MX seasons.”
Not a big deal, but I liked the BTO graphic better
Agreed. The new ones don't seem to fit well but maybe it's because I'm used to the old ones. I don't think I would buy from Rocky Mountain even though they sponsor this team. But maybe.
I'm not sure RMATV is a Johnny-come-lately. I have used them for all my parts for years now with excellent service. Their website also states they have been operating for over 30 years and sponsored mx/sx teams in years prior, just not as a major title sponsor of this caliber.

Your really hurting yourself by not buying from them. They have consistently had the best prices, best service, and best selection for me over the years. BTOsports was good to, but RM is so much better overall

you're right, I know they have been in business for some time and I know they're a large, respectable retailer. I was more referring to stepping up and being a title sponsor of a top-tier team.
BTO stepped in when BBMX was a small struggling privateer team and really helped it grow to be where it is now. I'm partial to BTO since I have friends there and they started in my hometown out of a 500 sq ft warehouse/office.
I know RM came in and blew out what BTO was paying $ wise so I get it. Racing is a business.
And to answer someof the posts regarding them struggling, as far as I know BTO is not going anywhere, if anything their budget just got a whole lot lighter

Makes sense RMC would buy out
