Wanting to ride with my son and recently got a WR426. I'm 6'7" and need some bars and maybe some lower pegs, I just lean way to far when I'm standing. Read the RC High bars and maybe the Windham bend would be good... doubting anyone has anything they are looking to sell for cheap but figured I'd give it a shot. Also, any riding gear... seems impossible to find.

Thanks!

I tried the tall guy setup for a while (6'3 here), but here's the thing... Motocross bikes are designed with a specific body size in mind. The taller you go with bars and seats, the further away you get from optimal bike setup. You raise the bike's center of mass and screw with the handling.

Away from lower footpegs, I've looked to guys like DV12 and Paulin for inspiration...crouch and get your body into the space allotted.

6'5'' on a Honda with renthal high bars. As for gear, get some closeout gear from motosport.

6"6 here, handlebars are really just preference IMO, but the higher you go the stranger the bike feels cornering. +1 on the recommendation to get slightly lower foot pegs. You can also run taller seats, but I agree with bayodome - try to make the bike work with an adapted riding style before going all out with a tall setup.

As far as gear - TLD is definitely my favorite, their stuff runs a bit taller than some of the other brands.

Wow! thanks everyone for the advice/tips and thanks TeamGreen!!! I am going to take all of this in and get it figured out, might take a while and be a lot of work to ride and test Sad haha. My son seems pretty serious about riding and the other day he asked if I'd do a father/son enduro race with him and really meant a lot.

Listen to bayodome. Stretch them hammies and get that body position down low. Keep that spine in the right shape. The crouch is your best bet.

I am 6'3" also and agree 100% with what Bayodome is saying.

In terms of fitting on a bike though, there is quite a lot of difference between 6'2"/3" and 6'6" and above...
