How is that breaking news. It basically said the same thing they have been saying except his left shoulder is messed up too.

How do you mess up both shoulders in a crash and not hurt the thing between them?

Makes me think when Tomac took out Deano and messed up his shoulder. Dean was never the same since then. I hope Tomac situation doesn't turn out the same, that would be such a big waste of pure talent.

Slamming your left side onto a breaking bump might have something to do with it. Sucks, shoulder injuries are never 100% healed thing.

Shoulders are so vital to everything we do.

If they are not rehabbed correctly they can be a career ender.

If you watch the crash again, it looks like when he hit he both arms up above his head. The leverage against his shoulders had to be unreal. I've always pulled my arms in and cannonballed in. Don't know that there is a right way to crash or not. But I'd think arms up high would be worse.

I don't think you have much choice on how you fall when your going that fast and never see it coming

I stretched the cartilige from the sternum to the ribs one time. Holy crap that took a month just to breathe normally!

Racing a national, nope. But I'm mortal. Blush

Just read this on MXA. Looks like no racing for Eli this week-end.:

BREAKING NEWS: ELI TOMAC OUT FOR MUDDY CREEK

Tomac won’t be spraying the champagne this weekend in Tennessee.

Eli Tomac was a perfect five-for-five in moto wins to begin the 450 outdoors. However, a second moto slam while running away from the field at Thunder Valley left the Geico Honda rider with a dislocated shoulder. In the days since that horrific moment everyone has been waiting to hear whether Eli will be able to race this weekend in Muddy Creek. Despite failing to finish the second moto at Lakewood Tomac only trails Ryan Dungey by three points in the standings.

However, it sounds like Eli Tomac will not be racing this weekend at Muddy Creek. Geico Honda team manager, Mike LaRocco, informed me this afternoon that Eli is a scratch for this weekend. It’s unsure how soon Tomac will return to racing. That’s all the news we have for now. Motocross giveth, and motocross taketh away.

I think he will race. I jacked mine up and I can ride a bike, but there is still too much weird stuff going on in there to play sissy golf. Weird.

MXA says no on FB, so I know nothing. RD5 may be one of the smartest racers ever.

Racing just took a even farther nose dive. Well, at least there's still the GP's.

Best not to engage with a headcase.
