Well it's far from that, power is great, isn't as powerful or snappy as a KTM 250 (2013) but still this is a more gentler ride and i can ride it better then a KTM
I had a Gas Gas 300 several years ago,the powerband was similar to your description of the TM.Nice bike
Its an awesome bike. Good kick out of the corners.
With 13/48 you can lug all track on third gear and make the big jumps when it revs
out on third.
Rides all the track on third is nice and calm.
I like the KYB forks on mine, The marzoochis on the 2010 i had always started leaking too soon.
The 2013
The only thing not stock is the Scalvini pipe.
It sucked balls so the original HGS is on now.
All bottom and mid on the Scalvnini.
My next test pipe is the YZ Pro circuit. Fits pretty good. Had a guy i know who tested after hearing about
on the net.
He has bought all kinds of pipes and made mods too get top HP.
He rides the Swedish Championship in both Supermotard and Ice racing
Well see what the dyno tells us later.
Pit Row
I'm very keen to get a 2st again and am thinking 125/144 possibly even a 250. Is the suspension really that bad/hard? Guess i can get the valving specs form a YZ125/250 to get me going with the forks, but what about the shock?

Cheers
The shock is really good. Had no issues with the old Sachs anyway.
The new TM rear shock is good.
The forks are hard. My importer has modded mine so now they are OK.
If you ride hard and fast they work really good now. Out of the box they were not good.
I have 40+ hours on the Kayaba without leaking,
The minute you slow down or cruise they beat you up. I ride with standard springs in front and
harder in the shock, Dont remember how hard though. I weigh 240 lbs so the stock was too soft.
If you can copy the setup from YZ bikes you should be good. My YZ 250 was really good standard and with
harder springs.
The Marzocchis were not good even after modding. They started leaking quite fast also.
I wish to dig this euro brand, its totally tits on the stand, but those who think it's any better than an YZ125/YZ250 from 2006 +, the next step in riding experience, might end up disappointed.
But i only ride mx and no elevation.
Im considering buying a smart carb. Sounds cool.
But i have no prob with the old so.
The TM is not as good as the YZ 250 but a lot tricker.
For me the 250 becomes too much topend.
The 300 is perfect, And the KTM with 300sxs signed off way too early. Had one before.
Sadly it's really fragile and already had some holes and dents in it because of other riders..
Working on getting a DPR pipe on it, it's made using the same mold as a hgs but made from thicker materials.
Ill post a pic of my 012 with new buddyseat and stickers once she's done!
You could try contacting TM directly as well, apparently they are more than happy to help owners with their bike setup and will share their secrets from their ongoing r&d.
These bikes are the most bling there's, glad you have such a good experience, I hope the brand will grow.
