So we now know Reed isnt going to TLD, so does that beg the question if CP will go there. If (and that is a if) CP is hanging out for money then it obviously would not be TLD, but who knows eh???

Craig's deal for 2011 is SX only (earlier published press release was wrong). He rides a 450 well and word is that if he does well in SX he may ride outdoors for TLD on the 450.

I think so. I saw him a few weeks ago before I heard of the plans and thought that he grew quite a bit. Even when he was an amateur he was very good on the big bike. I can't see Pourcel ending up there...... Lucas and Red Bull would have to really pitch in..... TLD itself has a budget and I don't think they'll add enough to make a dent in the asking price. IMHO.

TLD couldn't come up with the cash to keep BT101 and things didn't work out for Reed. What was the deal breaker for Reed? Is Bel-Ray so much better than Lucas Oil that Reed needed to start his own team? The TLD Honda woulda had Pro-Circuit hardware and all the management BS would have been handled. Why did Reed pass?

If TLD couldn't keep BT101, and couldn't close the deal with Reed, how is Monsieur Onepointfivemillion ever going to be satisfied with a TLD offer???


Don't get me wrong, I'd like to see it happen. But I'm skeptical.

all good points, I mean I agree I think it is unlikely that he would end up at TLD because he is after the dollars, but what legimate (i.e. competitive) rides are left for him? only Valli and TLD? So if he is smart he shoiuld forgo the big dolalrs, prove himself on either Valli or TLd then perhaps he might get the dolars he wants from a better funded team next season...after all (and as many have poitned out) he is NOT proven on a 450 yet...Canard showed last season that he can step it up

Yeah, I totally agree. He SHOULD be going after TLD or Valli. But is he? Last I heard he was in France. By the way, has the Kawi door been shut closed? Can we rule out Mike Fisher being CP377's manager in 2011???

I didn't want to believe it at first but maybe Moto Verte was on to something when they "reported" (and I use the term loosely considering the speculative nature of the article) that CP377 would sit out 2011.

Here's one....Pourcel to road racing ala JMB....ha ha!!!
