3 abandoned, one was bleeding badly and was being put on a stretcher.

never seen that many go down in one pile, then slide into a lightpole.

the crash futher up the road is what made them stop racing.

no medics at the 2nd scene, all tied up at 1st crash.

TJ is strong this year, pulling for him.

Fabian Cancellara hurt his back in the crash and is not certain if he can continue the tour. He broke his back earlier this year in another crash. Such a bummer.

Eff me running that was terrible!

Watch the guy in the yellow jersey that exits onto the grass early. He endoes then does a couple summersaults while still clipped in to the bike. Nuts!

And the guy who started the crash just skidded for a good 100 feet on his shoulder. That didnt feel good

Good one. Somebody check the Sky Team bikes for marginal gains motors.

The first few stages of LeTour are always marked with these twitchy crashes but this was an ugly one. It's very rare that they neutralize a race like they did today to sort things out. I haven't watched it yet and hope no GC guys were injured.

Just watched todays stage, love uphill finishes, was pulling for Froome! Glad to see ContraDoper sorta bonk and lose a little time, i cant stand that guy, still pissed off at him for attacking Schleck when his chain derailed. (among other things)

OH! and how about the one dude that got in his team car w/ a dislocated shoulder, popped it back in and got back on the bike, gnarly.

Contador didn't bonk. Froome dropped him like a bad habit on the steep finishing climb. If Froome gets thru the cobbles tomorrow the race will be over before they leave the Pyrenees mtns.

Doesn't everybody?

With drama, joy, suffering and pain, all mixed in with some of the best scenery in the world why would you choose not to?

I try to watch as much live as possible.

I haven't really had a favourite since Wiggo. Maybe Tommy Voekler though!

cobblestones today,8 sections. rain moving in.

team sky started on bikes with a rear shock,

team astanadopers is switching to a stronger frame bike with fat tires before the last 6 sections.

cantador just switched to a bike with spring seat and water bottle filled with PEDs

Tony broke his bike in the 1st section I reckon, hopped on a teamates bike and rode the rest of the stage.

almost piled it in to the barriers in the last corner.
