I just watched this Race
Man James looked so great on the Kawasaki's
Always !!
I he looked good in Fox gear also
But man i cant help but wonder
How many Race wins ge would have right now if he had stayed on a Kawi
I think a lot more personally!https://youtu.be/eqbRjATceqI

Best part of the whole telecast was not one mention of "Monster Energy blahblahblahblah" every single sentence. I get that they are the title sponsor of the sport, but man I would love to hear a telecast without Ralph and Jeff trying to cram that drivel down my throat 2x every minute.

BTW James was on fire that night, man he looked good on that Kawi.

He was unbelievable that night. I had just turned 15 a few months before. I asked for that exact gear set he's wearing all because of him. I thought that was the coolest gear out. I was a huge fan or Stewart then. Ironically I have the same Thor set Chad's wearing too.

It wasn't the Kawi so much as it was having Timmy as a set-up guy. Maybe your boy Mathhizz could elaborate.

Crazy how comfortable he looks when the back end is dancing around in the whoops.

Incredible race, almost a carbon copy of Toronto 2014, except Reed put up more of a fight

I expect another Kawi rider with a single digit number to do similar things this year

dude was on fire that year. also very impressive for reed to pick up on that triple triple triple that late in the race. its crazy how a guy with the talent of reed just got smoked that year. he wasn't anywhere near james

Also having a team that knew how to tell him no when he wanted to put the bike down the wrong path. Ala Mike Fisher, Ross Maeda, Kurt Rood, ect.

Oh and he doesn't stil do the same? Sure hope Stew puts it together this year. Won't have RV to worry about and ET3 is going to throw it away like he does. Who else can beat him if he pulls Todonto 14 all year?

And to this day, you don't see anyone that can do what James does on a consistent basis.

He views the track completely different than anyone else.

And his whoop speed is still the best.

IMO the best anyone has ever been on a SX track. He always seemed to have trouble setting up his Yamaha. If you watch videos of 09 when he got into his groove he still looked aggressive like that though. It was 2010 when his style started to seem so much more passive and I think we now know how much he hated that bike. He's really never been the same since.

He hasn't been the same since he raised his levers back up closer to level

I can appreciate you optimism but he hasn't shown any type of ability to keep it on two wheels in a very long time.

He's also not getting any younger.

I was at that race. Pretty unreal to see in person. Glad I got to see His best race live.

Wow that was great to watch again, it's kind of absurd how smooth and confident JS looked here...

His setup was definitely point, Chad was riding good too but I think JS's setup was just allowing him to do things Chad wouldn't even think about trying. The double jumping of the whoops section is a perfect example, that was so nice.

It's really interesting to see how far the 450's have come in terms of suspension and frame, they look so much chunkier and wide in this 07' race.

This just got me pumped for A1 all over again Silly
