Dungey must be running an automatic clutch. When he crashed his bike went all over the place and he picked it up without pulling the clutch in and took off.

I heard the same thing

I don't know about a Rekluse but I know the new Rekluse works just like a regular clutch but you can stall - unless the engine dies on its own

Just curious but would a slipper clutch make it not stall? Do they even use those in moto? How does a Rekluse work?

I bet it is something similar to the new Rekluse Core EXP clutch. Its not a Auto-clutch, it just doesn't stall.

Rekluse is not a slipper. Its just an auto clutch. Not sure if you could make it a slipper as well or not.

I said that after both of his crashes in SF- A rekluse turns the bike into an automatic but yoiu can also still use the clutch (for reving on starts etc) and if the biker is tuned right it will not stall out ever- People said they thought Stewart was running one last year and this is why his bike hesitated at A1 causing the infamous crash w CR- don't know about that but RD's bike never dies even when it lands sideways on top of him or cartwheels from 12 feet up...

I've noticed that plenty of bikes haven't stalled this year during crashes. SD had carnage everywhere and hardly anyone was seen off to the side trying to re-start their bike. The new Rekluse EXP feels/acts just like a "normal" clutch. I don't know why they wouldn't use them, especially in a mud race.

I'm gonna guess efi has helped a little....carbs dont like to supply fuel accurately while laying on their side draining it out the vent tubes!

No secret a lot of pro's are runnign slipper style clutches...wouldn't doubt that's been evolved to the point of "perfect" starts combined with a special EFI map for just the start.

The cartwheel crash last year during the outdoors was all the evidence I needed to see the Dungey was running an auto clutch...
