Suzuki 2015 championship contenders

Edited Date/Time 10/3/2014 2:10pm
With all their star power for next year, They are definitely in the hunt for both 450 titles next year. Not bad for a company that went bankrupt several times this year. And the year before that. And the year before ....
It will be interesting to see how the riders from opposing Zook teams ride against each other also.

I think Roczen is their only championship hope.

This.

I seriously doubt they're gonna let James ride all the SX races or the whole drug testing thing is a farce.

And whilst I think Bagget could be good outdoors, that's the assumption that a 450 won't eat him indoors.

Yeah, if Bagget gets through SX uninjured, he is a title threat I think in even his first year. That was Metty's plan too but SX injuries seem to always derail the Met Train

"Opposing Zook teams"? There is only 1 opposing Zook team. Perhaps you mean opposing Zook riders?

And you do know it is not Suzuki factory teams dont you? These teams only choose to use Zooks as their weapon of choice.

However..... it will be good to see more Zooks out there.

I'd bet the house that Yosh still manages to be a little slow sharing any development stuff with RCH...

Although I'd also bet it doesn't matter since James has the worse setup going. Kenny's bike is almost guaranteed to look great whilst James will have a chopper that spits him off every few weeks.

I agree. It sucks for us fans, but they HAVE to hold firm on their penalties, regardless of the rider. He has to get AT LEAST half a SX season in my opinion.

The problem is he actually has a legitimate reason for taking those drugs, so that may well lessen the penalty ?

I dunno, I can't think of something that Barcia has setup wise that's weird? I've seen his bike bouncing around cause it's having the shit revved out of it and all bound up... especially his first few seasons outdoors, all noise and no momentum... But weird setup? I dunno?

Brayton's yamaha looked really well sorted last year, if he could just run that it didn't seem like there would be much to change.

It's not legitimate in the rules framework tho... The rules are pretty clear. It'll be interesting to see what they do but fuck it will look like amateur hour if they just break the rules because.

So which one is the opposing team and which one is the non opposing team boss? I'm confused.

Yeah it's a total lose lose situation, but if they just make exceptions because it's James and he's near the end of his career or however the fuck they justify it... it A) looks ridiculous to the outside world–and those sponsors are here. and b) Sends a pretty shitty message to the other riders... what happens if it's Dungey, or Bagget, or Webb (3 random riders in different stages of their careers). Do they get the same treatment? Doubt it. What happens when they don't? Do they sue? I would!

How bought we let the lawers fight that shit out and stick to racing. So over it.

That win in Toronto couldn't have been done on a shit cart so I think you can forget the set up argument with James, Webb and Yosh. Bagget has just graduated from the team that wrote the book on testing (PC) so I'm going to say he's pretty well versed in setting up a bike. RCH is the team lacking in set up know how in my mind between these two although Ricky may have learned a lot these last few years watching and judging by Weston's step up this year, with Kenny's past Suzuki experience, they could well be in the ball park early on too.

I figure Suzuki signing Blake is them preparing for the worst, just like James practising above is him preparing for the best.

I still don't get how we're all meant to believe (like a fucking idiot I might add) a professional athlete was taking something, whilst knowing drug testing was carried out in his sport and didn't think to check it out beforehand...

Or that we're meant to swallow his IV nurse was just there for after motos...

But hey, i've been brandished a hater. I call it common sense.
