You are not getting the point, Yes kawi won, but there was 4 bikes, kawi, honda, yam, and ktm. Flat out NO SUZUKI period. Thats what I am posting about. Why would suzuki not let the bike be in the shootout test! If they plan on releasing the bike later on, fine. But kinda bad to be absent from the shootout. I was curious to see how the new zuk would do, but I guess not, The truck carrying the bike must have broke down. IDK.

Suzuki may have sufficient quantity of bikes for long-term tests, but what good would it do to test a bike that you can't go down to the dealer and buy?

Truck didn't break down...probably runs great...but maybe the driver got layed off.

Kawi 250f sounds close to a 450 now, much deeper tone.

Kawi ... great motor, noodle frame... you'll get holeshots but not be able to turn in the first corner...

Yami ... weak top end, if it had better suspenders it could have walked away with this one, the brakes couldn't stop an ice-cream truck going 3mph....

Hondi ... WOW is all we can say a works bike for the masses, unbelievable on every account, motor GNARLY, turning ... Linda Blair would get whiplash, seat ... a new design straight from HRC called a "SAFETY" seat....

remember these types of Shootouts ... I miss Super Hunky.....

Don't know what's available in the US, but Suzuki does make a 2010 RMZ250. Matt Moss raced it in the 2009 Aus. Super X series.

The bike is already available in Australia and this is from Suzuki...
"Like its larger stable mate, Suzuki’s RM-Z450 motocrosser, the RM-Z250 is the first production motocross machine in its class to feature electronic fuel-injection. The 2010 RM-Z250 is also a ground-up redesign, with the chassis, engine and suspension all coming in for some major updates."

So I'm guessing Suzuki USA has TRUCKLOADS of 2009 models left and isn't ordering 2010 models, or they're arriving late, but either way they do MAKE them. Makes sense not to test it though if they're not for sale in USA at this time.

1 last thing. I'm not a Suzi man but apparently it rips!!!

Correct, thus the reason they were not included.

Production hasn't started yet. This happens a lot and isn't the first time one of the big 4 wasn't in the test.

Remember the 2010 is a new bike with FI and a lot of other features.

The USA will not get them till late Jan to Feb.

Production may have started and the are on a boat now but remember this test wasn't done yesterday.

You relise they will make most if not all of these in one production run. Meaning all of the usa's will be made together etc.

Production started a long time ago. They went on sale here in early November.

Be prepared to see the Honda's up front in both Supercross and Outdoors.

I just got a new 2010 after speaking with Canard and he told me it was as fast as his 2009 race bike stock, except for on the very, very top end. Trey told me the suspension was not good, but we have our race bikes revalved and sprung accordingly. Trey also stated that the Factory Connection linkage was a must and extremely important. We did this and nothing compares now.

Why the hell would they test a bike that isn't available yet????? They don't test what isn't for sale yet.

Yes Suzuki has won several 125 shootouts and 250 2 stroke shootouts over the years but as far as I know the 450F and 250F have been mid pack.

I seen them in action.... they dont look like anything special, even on the straights against other bikes. The KXF seems much faster.
