I just went to grab some beers, I seen in a magazine they had the 2010 250f shootout, 4 bikes and no suzuki at all!! I cant believe they couldnt get a bike to use in the test. Does anybody know why they wouldnt at least test the bike? Kinda screwed up. Haha!
The Shop
Yami ... weak top end, if it had better suspenders it could have walked away with this one, the brakes couldn't stop an ice-cream truck going 3mph....
Hondi ... WOW is all we can say a works bike for the masses, unbelievable on every account, motor GNARLY, turning ... Linda Blair would get whiplash, seat ... a new design straight from HRC called a "SAFETY" seat....
remember these types of Shootouts ... I miss Super Hunky.....

The bike is already available in Australia and this is from Suzuki...
"Like its larger stable mate, Suzuki’s RM-Z450 motocrosser, the RM-Z250 is the first production motocross machine in its class to feature electronic fuel-injection. The 2010 RM-Z250 is also a ground-up redesign, with the chassis, engine and suspension all coming in for some major updates."
So I'm guessing Suzuki USA has TRUCKLOADS of 2009 models left and isn't ordering 2010 models, or they're arriving late, but either way they do MAKE them. Makes sense not to test it though if they're not for sale in USA at this time.
1 last thing. I'm not a Suzi man but apparently it rips!!!

Production hasn't started yet. This happens a lot and isn't the first time one of the big 4 wasn't in the test.
Remember the 2010 is a new bike with FI and a lot of other features.
Production may have started and the are on a boat now but remember this test wasn't done yesterday.
You relise they will make most if not all of these in one production run. Meaning all of the usa's will be made together etc.

The 450's were here late July.
I just got a new 2010 after speaking with Canard and he told me it was as fast as his 2009 race bike stock, except for on the very, very top end. Trey told me the suspension was not good, but we have our race bikes revalved and sprung accordingly. Trey also stated that the Factory Connection linkage was a must and extremely important. We did this and nothing compares now.
Yes Suzuki has won several 125 shootouts and 250 2 stroke shootouts over the years but as far as I know the 450F and 250F have been mid pack.
Post a reply to: Surprise, 2010 250f shootout!!
