Going through some of my old VHS tapes that I've burned to DVD's. I've got a bunch of old races from 89 all the way through the early 90's. Some of my favorites are Thrills Spills & Chills, Throttle For the Gold, Supercross 91 and 92. I would like to put all this stuff on a youtube channel at some point. Found this video online just to give you guys a little taste.

Man, "Camel" supercross series. I wonder if the winners had to hold a pack up on the podium Laughing

They used a candy cigarette and acted like they were smoking it.

(Meant to quote GMalzee)

No they didn't. They were men, not boys or puppets. They drank beer on the podium and grabbed the trophy girls' asses.

Jason, I still have that "Thrills Chills And Spills" VHS tape. I must have watched it 50 times back in the day. I have no way to play it now.

Anyway, how did those 125s make the triples and such? Why, I have no idea. It takes 4t power to clear those. Right?? Maybe not.

Also, what is with the music playing in the background? Not a fan of that. How about the ladies with the big hair action? I kinda miss those days.

Same here man. I want to put that one and Throttle for the Gold on youtube as fast as I can. I'll try to get it done this weekend. I just watched the 92 series last night. It still blows my mind that Bradshaw lost that title that year. He was so dominant early on. Then Charlotte, Indianapolis, Las Vegas, and of course he couldn't pass Cooper at the Colisium.

Crazy.

Man, that's just awesome man! Takes you back, don't it?

Yeah... Coach woulda put me in fourth quarter, we would've been state champions. No doubt. No doubt in my mind.

That music though? Starts around 2:46 or so...

Chowing Down on the Trophy Girl= Uber Badass Status! It seems like supercross and maybe racing in general has lost a certain specialty and charm since late 00's imo

They had all their different varieties available in the press box for you to partake in. I always brought several packs home.

They were a great sponsor for the series and probably would still be around but I think that they got forced out due to the advertisement deal for evil things.

Those Camel girls in the jumpsuits were the bomb for their day but no DD.

There are a lot of great era's of sx but early 90's was a strong one for me.

Watching these are painful. I'm such a hardcore delusional Cooper fan I actually convince myself he might win! Tongue
