Stewart may get a couple wins, but RV is the favorite for sure.

This season will be incredibly stacked with talent. Smile

Undoubtedly, RV is in another league - he'll be the favourite for the title.

But, I do think that Stewart will be better in 2014, and be more of a threat each week.

Why I say this is the last race James Stewart was in He looked really good. Dungey does not have the balls.

Nothing "belongs" to anyone of these guys, every year they have to earn it all over again Wink

I would like to see JS come out on top but I would be happy if either wins. I just want to see battles like Monster cup every weekend.

Right. At the moment it "belongs" to RV. It's his until someone takes it from him.

The good news for fans is that there's lots of competition. Go through the roster of riders, and there's no shortage of riders who can win. Among the riders who won last year? There's Villopoto, Millsaps, Stewart, Barcia, and Dungey.

Add to that list guys who could win (or have won in the past), and there's a handful more. Then throw in the new guys, like Tomac, Roczen, and Hahn.

It should be a very good year.

Really?

7 vs 2(or is it 1?) will be great this time around, throw in the young uns though and we have options for more winners and more, shall we say 'upsets' for one reason or another

Don't know, hasn't happened yet. I hope Stewart wins though. I like backing the underdog.

Sweep for Stewart with a lap up to 3rd effort at a mud round and a whoop-scrub move or something rediculous. Imagine the coverage from extended media. Bring it Bubba.

It's great James is feeling better, but RV is now a 3 Time consecutive defending champ. He's not only won more titles than his comp, he's done it consecutively.

A few heat race wins at the monster cup is not a SX season. RV will be on top again.

If we're still getting RV wrong after all this time, it's going to get ugly when AC92 starts making headlines. I'm not even going to try to spell that one.

I know I say thank Buddha that the outcome depends on the racers and not the predictions of the sport's experts and fans. Who cares as long as the racing's safe and good? Why does one of these guys winning over another matter, unless you're their parent or spreading your legs for them? Then I could understand, but why some fan likes RV over JS or vice versa or whoever I'll never understand.

Unless we see some huge change I would not bet my money on JS7 being in the hunt for the championship after the mid way point in the series.

Let's face it the Monster Energy Cup is the perfect race for JS7. The main event is just
three heat race length motos, without the actual heat races or semis to worry about in one night.

As he proved in the 2013 series when it's an eight lap sprint heat race JS7 can win any night. Even when Villopotto was at his peak indoors JS7 would snag heat race wins. If I remember correctly he had eight or more heat race wins in 2013.

He takes to many chances, crashes, gets injured, and worn down to stay on the top of his game for a full season of Heat races, maybe a Semi or two, and twenty lap main events.

So many people are making bold predictions with boat loads of confidence. The only thing we know (and this is a good thing) is that the field is stacked for 2014.

Bubba will be on it
RV - no questin marks here either
Dungey - Awesome as always
Bam Bam - more mature with another year under his belt in the big boy class.
Trey - Is going to plug away methodically and surprise people.
Roczen!

The list doesn't stop here either.

Am I sounding like a broken record on repeat already? Everyone is just that good.

Remember back in the day when the 125 class was like this? A rider needed a good start or he wasn't coming through the pack (save for RC/James) to win. And in the 250CC class, it seemed the best riders always found their way to the front and you could maybe count the contenders with 3 of your 10 fingers. Fast forward to 2013 and beyond, everyone has this thing down to a science now - in both classes. All i know is, we the fans are in for one great year of racing.

Stewart is looking exceptional in his gopro clips that he occasionally uploads to instagram. He's definitely coming out swinging next year, and I'm looking forward to it.
