I dont get how a thrashed modified 125 cant hang together for 1 moto.....sorry whichever way you look at it it isnt a good look. We used to have a 125 class that heavily modified bikes held together fine for 2 motos.

That looks like a trans side crank seal. If you've ever had a leaky one, blue smoke galore.

White is steam.

Or leak where cases split. A blown crank itself doesnt do that.

This whole 2stoke thing was fun but its getting annoying having him dnf all the time. I have followed him for the last two years but it's getting stupid now. All that time and effort and money for what.

I've been in the train for stank dog I cheared for him at the nationals but it's just pointless now. Wow you got 19th and earned a point. That's cool now how about you actually use your potential and get some real results. It's one thing if he was getting factory support.
You have to be real about this. He was at times beating half the field with a pretty big power disadvantage, getting noticed by many fans and potential future sponsors and having a blast doing it on limited funds. You think he would have gained a bunch of positions on a 4 stroke or not have any mechanicals either.

I'm sorry if you get disappointed when he doesn't come around the next lap because of a mechanical but I can assure you he is not gonna gain anymore by riding a 4 banger. He is maximizing his coverage this way. Let him do as he pleases without bashing him and sarcasticly saying "wow you got 19th and earned a point" etc. I think it's something he can be proud of and build on. I don't think he can get under a major tent or race top 5 - 10 at this point so he's doing what he wants and can so we should just give words of encouragement.

Hey, he's had a lot of fun.
He's thrown it in the mans face.
He's made a name for himself.
He's got an almost Pastrana like following in the making.
Next year, he wants to make a real go at it, what manager wouldn't give him a shot over another 20 something finisher.

And half of you guys still don't get it.

It is very unlikely his motors are being stripped and rebuilt every week based off of his traveling schedule and privateer budget, I am curious to know if they are or not.
He is running a 125 top.

I guess he shouldn't have done that burn out last weekend?
On a Yamaha?

So stankdog had a hell of a lot of fun and gained a bunch of fans. They dont have the money/part supply to service some things when they should be serviced, if they were im sure you'd see less failures

He's gone from 30k to 57k followers on Instagram alone this year during the Nationals. That's more then a lot of the guys outside of the top 10.

His fan base continues to grow, and in a sport where it's all about marketing I'd say he's doing something right.

Time will tell what next year brings, be interesting to see if he gain some support and take another run at it on the 125.

Emx125 huskies dont seem to have reliability issues, niether do the junior 125 classes here.

Some people dont have the skills to keep a bike going for 10 minutes.

What a bunch of dbags blabbin husky sucks/this is pointless. Go start with close to zero budget and have someone run any 250f you choose in nationals and report each week how you do...dbag.

Factory or Highly Mod 125 engines have about 4 hours of life. Stank Dog rides the piss out of that bike --- if he wants a shot on it, he needs to be under factory Rockstar Husky tent. Husky.... brilliant marketing... no?
I think it'd be tough for Husky to provide too much visible support or sponsorship to a 125 machine in a class with such lopsided rules. Wouldn't they want a bike running that was at least able to compete reasonably well and not in jeopardy of barely qualifying at many rounds?

I'm not knocking Steinke, he's made a great effort in a class that I believe contains the best performing four stroke MX machines. His being out there helps show how screwed the rules are. Hopefully Husky is providing some low key support for his efforts.

If the two stroke/four stroke rules were evened out though I think any manufacturer who is marketing two strokes to the MX market should be visibly supporting a team in proMX to help develop and prove out the bike they're selling.

With the amount of exposure he gives husky and ktm you would think they could keep him on a rideable bike.

Correct genius!! As a matter of fact only problems we have had is transmissions breaking teeth on gears from too much of a hardening process, and crank bearings going out. You're right 125's don't blow up that much! I haven't had a topend failure yet! Just parts failing and if you can prevent that i bet your ass can tred water also!

Hey Eric, don't let some of these guys get you down. I didn't go to the Ironman watch to watch Webb. I went because of Stankdawg. I hope he does it again next year. Thanks for keeping it fun. Jon
