and no....this time i bought a 2017 KTM 450 SXF. Shold be receiving it tomorrow and will post photos with my own write up.

Why am i posting this? Well because my last bike was a 2013 KTM 250 SX, I loved it. But i mostly ride dry slippery hard pack and to be honest, the 4 stroke is just better there. Just want to let uninformed riders know that while all these bikes are great, you really have to analyse your riding conditions before making a decision.

Excited to ride the new bike and let you all know how it goes!

I'm pretty sure I spoke with +US$12K after shipping and import duties etc...thanks for your insight though.

Nice choice!

Someone will be around shortly to tell you the "spoke with my wallet" posts were meant for 2stroke...blah blah..I still like seeing post on new bike purchased no matter what they are!

Speaking with your wallet means to show manufacturers what he wants them to keep producing and developing by buying a new bike. Seems like OP wanted KTM to keep making the 450SX-F.

Thanks. With regards to "spoke with my wallet"...ive been around the message boards for many years, the title of the thread was purposely done. The point i was trying to make is that choosing a bike is not about following a trend, whether 4 stroke or 2 stroke, its about knowing what works for you riding conditions. In the end, I had a choice, and I chose what I thought would serve me well.

And i cant wait to ride !

I spoke with my wallet today and bought some gas. You butt hurt 4 stokers do your thing but your not speaking with your wallet in the traditional sense. You simply purchased a 4 stroke. Clap.

Same here. On a 16 now, and possible an 18 depending what changes are made. I dig both, but I race a 2 stroke because I'm part of the "too broke to race 4 stroke, and too slow to matter" mafia.

I almost purchased the 17 Husky TC 250, to be honest it was a really close choice but I decided to back to the 4 strokes this time. My last bike was the 13 KTM 250SX, and i spoke with my wallet then too! But i'm not biased to 2 or 4 strokes..

Can't wait to try the 17 KTM 450! Chances are it will be here by Friday so i'll be sure to send updates.

Don't need one haha. When my 06 has 0 problems Beatin some current model year Kim's to the first turn. Yamahas 2 strokes are still competitive against new 7-10,000 dollar 2 smokes. But I wanna speak with my wallet and buy a husky 300. They're sexy.
