Hey everyone,

I just broke in my new bike and have started some laps on a new track yesterday that is not familiar to me at all. Since then, I've been really sore so could it just be my time away from a track? It's the most sore I've been in a while on my bike

Have you been getting out of shape for some time ? My first rides back after a few "lazy party years" had the same effect on me. Just rest up untill you feel good again. It will get better every time you ride. Atleast thats my experience.

You are out of shape... it happens to all of us, and quicker as we get older!

Yeah I've been training and practicing quite a bit. After some hard motos I'm definitely sore for a few days but I'm also 43.

I'm 43 as well....... After a substantial amount of time off the bike, I get the brilliant idea of going on an all day trail ride. Felt great, enjoyed a few cold ones that evening while grilling and thought all was well.
Next morning, the moment of truth had arrived..... I had fucked up. Shit didn't move normally, and I had pain in muscles I didn't even know I owned. My lovely lady helped me outta bed, and for the next three days, I hobbled around like I had a set of Renthals stuck up my ass. I quickly learned to not jump back in the saddle so fast like I did at 25. Or 30, or 35, or 38....... Getting old sucks.

I've been doing cryotherapy after riding and it's been helping. Kind of like a whole body ice bath.

But the more riding I do, it deffinitly helps. Also eating well and proper hydration is key to recovery.

Yep! The more riding the better.... At least now after a full day of moto, I don't need help unloading bikes, or walking for that matter.....
