Love watching Mc ride outdoors. One of the more intelligent riders, always thinking and going for different line choices.

I had a '95 but always thought those years the bike was too wide and not a great handler. Big butt syndrome. Guys were going with the long rod kit on them as well. When they went to the new slimmer frame in '96 and then got the engine right in '97 the bike really came into its own.

Most of the 250cc Yamaha factory riders used a 1994 cyclinder on their bikes until 1998. Many with the long rod kit also.

I have both the long rod kit and 94 cyclinder on my 98 YZ250 and still pull holeshots if I don't mess up the start.

Thanks for posting that--I'll have to watch it later. Fun to see that "older" stuff, hear the two strokes, and see how the track has changed over the years. My first year there was '95.

I always liked Eckman. He may have not been the most exciting guy, but he had a genuine love for the sport from way back.

He used to be the sports guy on a San Francisco area TV station back in the late 1970's and he would always do a little segment on his sportscast about MX whenever there was a Trans AMA or national at Sears Point.

I have always thought Eckman and Despain did the best job at it. I think it helps that they both have a real love for two wheels in general

Yes, I do know that was not Eckman. Despain was always very good and both he and Eckman had incredible knowledge.

My point was that to me Ralph Shaheen is soooo bad I actually miss Eckman calling the "play the play" - you have to admit, he stumbled sometimes....

I would like to take this opportunity to say thanks to you and all the other self-appointed "post police" here at Vital. Keep up the great work Mandrake...

That was Dave Despain and Bailey Talking. Those guys really knew what they were talking about unlike now. I still don't know who James Reed Is, god ralph sucks and emig is sponsored by kawi so he only talks about how good they are, and erin is just retarded jamie little was good but Davey Coombs was much better. I want to know why the RacerX Motocross Show can't be our racing coverage on speed, or why can't the webcast guys do it they are really good also.

Refer to post above...

And your absolutely right about Emig..It usually goes something like,"I don't know Ralph, the green bikes seem really good tonight." It's disgusting!

Jamie Little was very professional and you see what happened - promoted...At least Erin's easy on the eyes.
