Do they only post here on Vital? Or do they actually ride their 2 strokes in a secret location? Or is it just a Cali thing?
I don’t see many 2 stroke's on the track's around here in Ontario, at the tracks we run anyway (except for the 85's), so I figured with all the 2 stroke talk that takes place on here, I might be surrounded by them down south.
Well I just did a sweep of a whole bunch of tracks in Florida and Georgia over the last 2 weeks and all I saw was a shit load of 4 strokes, 250F's and 450F's from every brand, mostly Red and Green and allot of them were 2011 models!!
Bike sales can't be THAT bad...there are a shit load of new bikes out there.
I did see a young rider on a CR125 with his dad, who looked like he was just moving up from an 85, and I saw a vet rider on a 250, oh and a pretty quick kid on a ktm 144 that stayed together for the entire day, I was very surprised about that!
But other than that, I think the only 2 strokes I saw were 85's.

I think they talk more than they ride.
Maybe they can't find parts for em.
The Shop
Lots of 2 strokes out in alberta
I have noticed alot more YZ's and RM's coming out of the garages and showing up at the tracks this year.
Go to a Hare scramble. its a sea of two smokes!
People tires of shelling out big bucks on a 250f just to spend bigger bucks rebuilding it
He only represents one area of Ontario. In my part of the province there are more and more 2 strokes showing up. And at many of the tracks that our guys race at in Minnesota's d23 the same is true. People are indeed catching on to the fact that 2 strokes are way way cheaper to race and maintain. They may be dead in most peoples eyes, but you can't argue the fact that its much more affordable for a racer to ride a 2 stroke. No one can debate that successfully.
2000 CR250
Pit Row
