A new street bike helmet that has some interesting features,Heads-up display, GPS and rearview camera. This helmet seems like it has an innovation that could help in moto as well. Forget the GPS or phone link but the rearview camera might have some use. Of course it would require the goggles and helmet to be linked together to bring up the heads up display in the goggles. Otherwise the street bike guys might like the features if they don't mind parting with $1450.

Could you imagine Alessi with a rear view camera!!!

I ride all street now and would love to have one of these helmets but not going to pony up that cash for a few rides a year that I do wear a helmet!

That is awesome technology. I've been wearing a bell star and love it, but that technology is next level for sure. Not the best looking helmet, but that can be improved.

pretty darn cool, cant see it being very useful in MX but you never know
the gps would be really useful on offroad/desert riding, i think it looks pretty good too
that promo video on the home page is god awful though, "it feels like tomorrow" what exactly does that mean Blink

You know the old saying, if you've got a $5 head get a $5 helmet. If you've got a $1450 head, get a $5 helmet with $1445 worth of electronics.

The startup money discount (was $1199 at one point?) was tempting and I presume it'd fit my head since they claim it's a RF1200 shape. But I don't think I'd actually need or use all the high tech features. Awesome ideas though.

Biggest take away here, for me anyways, is that this kind of technology will eventually be the norm.

Remember about 10 years ago when back-up cameras only came in high end cars like Infinity, Benz etc? Now they're in almost every new car.. In fact, they will be mandatory in new cars starting in 2018 http://www.cnet.com/news/u-s-requiring-back-up-cameras-in-cars-by-2018/

As a life long dirt rider who recently started riding street too (2013 Husqvarna TR650 Strada), I think this is BAD-ACE!! The frills such as phone/music connectivity sounds like a risky distraction, but the rear view camera and GPS are freakin clutch!!

It means it's better than feeling like yesterday.

Randy- you need to do a little more research if you think this is a $5 helmet with $1445 worth of electronics. A little homework will show you that they are cutting NO corners at Skully, they have a good thing going over there!

I looked through the FAQs and saw nothing on the actual helmet having Snell or any other testing or certification. In fact the question about what happens if I crash was answered with, many insurance companies will replace it. I assume that means your helmet not your head. Please point me to something that says it's not a $5 helmet with $1445 of electronics. I'm all for progress, where can I find out that it is as good as a $600 Arai?

General comment - I'd be shocked if a company put this much R&D into such a game changing product and cut corners on the quality of it's most critical purpose..
