How much are they going to fine the official who allowed things to go on for as long as they did without throwing up a black flag?

If Reed deserves a penalty, and I think he does, then at least one official deserves a fine also.

Throw it up immediately, have fans losing their mind.
Wait a couple days, have fans losing their mind.

It's a no-win.

Dude? WHO CARES about the "fan bashing"? There are RULES involved. How about...
After 2 laps of ignoring the Blue Flag? YOU ARE DONE! The officials have put themselves in a really BAD position on this one. They have NO DEFENSE for Not Doing THEIR JOB!

The lack of rule enforcement is an embarrassment. Worse, yet...

The fellow Monster Athlete gets to scoot right by and The Red Bull Athlete gets "screwed with" and the OFFICIALS of a Monster Energy Titled Event appear to DO NOTHING (I read that on Vital!). That's the ultimate fuel for a "fan fire".

after his black flag for the Canard incident, Chad Reed's main argument against the black flag was that it was done in Haste, and should have been sorted out afterward when videos could be reviewed,

he got his wish today,

I like how the AMA doesn't issue a statement on the matter. One would think with so much at stake, they would address the situation and the reasoning behind the penalty and fine. I suppose I am hoping for a professional sanctioning body. Not one ran by Gallagher's inconsistencies.

Someone will be along soon to say that the AMA has nothing to do with Pro Racing.

I think things were handled very well regarding this incident. The damage was done 4 corners into the block fest, black flagging him would not fix or change the result. Dealing with it swiftly today after review and levying a fair penalty is the right thing to do IMHO.

Props to them this time.

Lets try to define a racing incident and maybe get Barcia in line...
