I know this helmet is old technology, was made in 2008 from what I can tell, but its still used by a lot of people.
I also have heard they are coming out with a new line soon.
Having said that, it's $170 shipped for a time proven design. I can't see any downsides for the cost.
Is my conclusion correct? Possibly best helmet under $200?

Not to say that helmet is spoiled goods, I'm just saying I would be willing to be anything the helmet lining has already begun to deteriorate
If you meant that the design is from 2008, and the helmet ain't been sitting for too long, then it's a hell of a deal!
In my shop we average 5 years life from the helmets. The scary thing about the fiberglass helmets is that the exterior is so fine it will still look like the same helmet after 5 years. Polycarbonate helmets though will fade to some degree.
Just make sure it's not an old helmet, and if it isn't, it'll be the best 170 bucks you've spent on security equipment
Its the last one, it's white and blue but I've been thinking of going red/white/blue scheme anyways.
The Shop
Are you buying this helmet new for $170.00? Because if its any of the design models it retailed for well over $550.00. If its Snell 2015 its not that old.
Its from a big US retailer. Its just listed under closeout and labeled as the last one. Which is why I think its a 2015 model.
They wanted $199.97 for it and I used my 10% coupon I got for signing up for the newsletter, which brought it to $179.99 with free shipping.
Thanks for the feedback.
