I haven`t seen TV broadcast from GP of Latvia and I don`t know how much of him was shown on TV, but the way he rode on Sunday was something special. There was 0% of quit in that ride. His next to last lap pass on Bobryshev was absolutely ridiculous. I can easily say that that ride alone was worth the trip to that race.

I watched the highlight package and the track looked really good. Was it as good as it looked?

Been going to the Brit GP's on and off since 1993, he's been my favourite Brit to root for hands down. We've had a lot of Tim Henman's over the years that seem to bottle it under pressure and fall short of their potential (Malin, Nunn, Billymac..). Love watching Tommy ride at the home GPs... solid!

The way Tommy is riding now if he keeps it up now he's getting used to the 450 I'm tipping him for champ next year.

i was a big fan of his when he was over here racing, he should come back...good to hear he is riding good over there....

Great to hear! I wasn't there in person but it was awesome seeing Tommy come up through those guys - you can clearly see a night and day differences in his performance from the start of the year, to now. Bummer when he stalled though.

Well that's a proper barometer of taste and wisdom.

I have also read on motoverte that they were asked to focus on MX2, but if Searle moves to KRT, I feel it is sad for CLS PC, Searle was their big hope and the only rider that really delivers this year. Plus it was great to see Pro Circuit in MX1, it is always more exciting to have many major teams. I hope CLS will rebound, it is a big team in France & Europe.

Dude cant get a good start if his life depended on it, always coming from behind. Would be interesting to see what he can do with a top 3 or a holeshot.

MX1 baffles me at times with so many riders with the ability, speed and potential,Tommy looked awesome in the 2nd Moto, going by Van Horbeek he was, totally on it!!

Goncalves?? almost the fastest laptime in the 1st Moto, then running a great 2nd place, pretty sure he would of surprised people with a great finish there without that mistake, the class is so unpredictable top 10-wise,apart from Cairoli getting great starts Blink

Wow if true. Wasn't gonna comment on the track until I seen your post. This track is lame at best and nothing more than a wide county fair track on roids.

Cairoli says it`s one of the best in a world and his favorite on a calendar but what does he know.
The track is very challenging and very, very physically demanding.

I think his most impressive ride was the 2nd moto in Sweden where he caught up to 3 seconds behind Cairoli at the finish albeit getting penalized for jumping on a yellow flag.

As Dave Thorpe says 'he is a rider's rider'.

Tommy is one of my favourite riders in MX1. Was awesome seeing him ride like that even with the bit of bad luck.

Which one would you choose? Latvia flat, intermediate soil, multiple lines vs Germany hills, hardpack, one lined

Searle has a win in him this year, it's coming - he has been steadily increasing and doing it right.

What contracts will come his way are anybody's guess right now but if CLS let him go after so long they are plain silly.

MXDN on that course will be wild, a bit more suited to the USA team in it's consistency so there should be some damn fine racing and no talk about the sand being too deep.

OR will they bring in 500 more sand trucks over the course of the next 15 months just to be sadistic Evil

If he's going to win it'll be at Matterly Basin.

Searle tweeted, he wished he had raced red bud last week, his favourite ever track ,maybe USA is calling! He has also said he wouldnt count out riding for KTM again but likes the monster brand thing so may stay where he is. In my opinion he is top 5 either side of the pond take it or leave it but true!

I watched it live, Searle was just about the fastest man on the track, if not the fastest.

Dude is probably my favorite rider on the planet right now. I dont know what it is about him but regardless of what place he is in hes just good to watch. Kind of like Windham you know no matter what happens your going to see a good ride.
