Man, early in the day, hands down one of the funnest tracks. Later in the day, knarly!

Looks like my moto baby is semi famous now as she made it on vital! Lol

Few bad decisions and pussy footing the first couple corners led me to a 10, but no ticket. Maybe next time.

Laughing I pulled that same maneuver on what looks to be a very similar sized step up as the one pictured, just a few months ago. I consider it a miracle that I walked away.

Don't be so sure 10th won't get you in. I know it isn't confirmed, but I would send your money in if you have the flexibility to go. Usually the Mid-East and North Central have the most riders, so the alternates often come from there.

In 2003 I took 11th (I think) in the North Central in +25 and didn't bother to send in my money right away. Sometime around mid July I checked the confirmed riders, and the guy behind me had a confirmed spot. I called, begged, and pleaded and eventually another spot opened up and I was able to ride. Finished somewhere around 32-36 each moto and got lapped by the top 10-15 each time, but absolutely had a blast!

That's my little brother in my dad's vintage MSR gear!

He killed it with a 9th in Open Pro Sport, and a 6th in a moto. Didn't make it to the ranch, but battled some legit dudes as a full time college student who waits tables.

Rup, Grewe has been fast his whole life, and has only taken a year or two off. ( I would bet he has more 2nds at lorettas that anyone) He was there in 1982. When he was younger, and the pros would show up to a local race, he would either beat them or be right with them. In the early 90s he rode an rm125 in 25 plus at lorettas. Not sure how rough baja got, but when it gets nasty, his lead gets even bigger..

That place looks sweet. Is it big enough to host a pro national? I would be nice to see more sand tracks other southwick on the schedule.

Jonesy has a KX125 and KX250 in his stable. In 2010, the mighty 125 took him to a Loretta title in the Vet B/C 30 plus class.

Baja is our closest track and we spend a lot of time there, not at the qualifier level yet.
I have always thought they could hold a national with some creative parking up in the top area and renting the farm field across the street.

I was told by Pat before he had talked to the landowner across the road and would rent it to him if a pro national happened.

Traffic actually would be pretty easy since it is only like 6-8 miles east of I75.
