EVERYONE PLEASE SHARE! Our rig and trailer were stolen last night from our hotel parking lot in Carter Lake, Iowa. Next town over from Omaha Nebraska. All of our belongings were in it. 6 bikes, parts, gear, gas, tools ect... Please if you're in the area be on the lookout!

- That means 2nd place in AX Travis Sewell, 11th in AX 2nd in Ax lites west Cody Vanbuskirk, and 7th lites west Scott Zont are out of racing as of now. What a f*cking shame.

Team DIRTBIKEMIKE's rig was stolen after the Vegas round last year. They eventually recovered all the bikes months later...

My whole feed is filled with that same post Cody. I'll be out there later tonight and we'll go searching for it.
Kurt said he is on it right now and already has replacement bikes to race.
You guys will be racing tomorrow.

A shame you can't even advertise your sponsors on your rigs anymore unless you're in a semi with secret service detail.

Thank Jesus... but I still wouldn't mind seeing Vanbuskirk find these guys first... still really bums me out though, Tom's entire life from the last half a year was in there... You know this as well Dave, the passion, time and energy TZ puts in there is unbelievable, and the guys feed off that and it's a big reason for their success and teamwork.

I can't imagine all the one-off tools and equipment he probably had.
I'm most bummed for Tom to be honest.
Travis and Cody can race any bike and do well.
Kurt and dan are heading out with equipment soon. I'll be there in a few hours.

it's getting to the point that none of these guy's can afford to not have GPS trackers on the major stuff.

Freaking sucks a guy can't stay at a hotel without becoming a target for theft.

Good luck getting your stuff back.

I am sorry to hear of this but really guys you spend all that money on parts, bikes, gear, etc... and don't install a Lojack and an alarm on your van these items are cheap compared to replacing the entire race teams equipment.
Insurance did you at least have that on your stuff??

This sort of thing is not new so if you have thousands wrapped up in your race program why would you not make the effort to protect that investment.
I'm sure most of you have a security system on your home and Insurance to boot so what gives when it comes to your expensive toys that you know you are putting in harms way every time you go racing.

If you are not going to be smarter than the thieves expect to lose a lot of shit.

Hey, good to see that it looks like the trailer has at least been found. I work at the World-Herald newspaper here in Omaha and would be interested in knowing more about what happened and what it might mean for you guys. Give me a call at 402-444-1219 or email dan.golden@owh.com if you've got time.
