Looks good, nice and smooth.

Track was more manicured than I figured it would be.

That's actually one of the few hardpack tracks in Holland.

(Not to start the why is he riding a flat track discussion again)

Nothing to learn......but seat time is extremely important. With that being said.....training for high speed stuff is something to help keep the skills sharp. Don't always need to be training on rough brutal tracks.

You have no idea how much I agree with you on the high speed training aspect. Even if its smooth getting seat time going balls out fast really ups the comfort level. Not saying rough practice isn't needed, just that this helps out a lot more than I think some people believe.

You never know, he might be testing the top secret nuclear quantum traction accelerator and all the keyboard champions on Vital are critiquing his practice track selection. LOL

I'm just saying that who knows, there is most likely purpose to the madness. Dude wins more than not so you kind of have to go with the flow for whatever he is doing. Seems to work for him!!

It really feels like the weeks are dragging by until the next GP, so anything RV related is cool. Not a difficult track for him I know, but I love the momentum he carries round there (1:10 perfect), just makes cornering look so smooth and easy.

If that kid would work on his corner speed, he might go places....

Yeah,, they run a lot of supermoto there too .

Its as Hard pack as it gets in Holland... looks freshly groomed that day.

I dont recall seeing much footage of that track at all , but might be worth a visit, MX in the AM , and SM in the afternoon

Not sure what makes you say that?

Base suspension settings, a new ECU maps or camshaft needing testing, longer or shorter swing arm or even just getting a good setting for day 1 at races when the track isn't so rough. He doesn't need to learn to ride but he does need to learn to have the bike set up right for the different tracks they'll be at across the year. All the information will get written down and brought back if it's needed.

Or maybe he just wanted to go and have fun riding his bike somewhere that didn't beat the shit out of him...

Yeah, I can't wait for Argentina.. track looks like it will suit everyone from RV to JVH to AC and the rest!

I raced a RTM qualifier this weekend that was fairly rough and rutted and found myself struggling at the end of the 5 laps. I ride at the Gorman track on Tuesday mornings a lot and it is prepped much like the track RV was on above and I can do 20 minutes at speed. I do think there is some advantage to riding fast tracks where you can carry corner speed. I think I need to get on a rough track much more often though or a way to get in better shape for them. Anyone have any thoughts on how to get rough track practice in when all of the tracks are prepped... We used to have hill tracks here but housing development closed it all down. Outside of buying my own land of course.

I rode yesterday, 3 classes, 9 races , 3 lots of 3 back to back Moto's , didnt bother about the races , just the tracktime , brimmed the tank and put down laps, track got rough towards the end .. great practice , you just gotta not get dragged into racing with guys, cos at the end of the race , there is another one to go at...

Shame is that people wont support tracks that arent groomed to perfection..

I like how the first 5-6 replies to this thread are Euros downplaying the difficulty and manicure condition. You can't script this shit any tighter.

There is a specific formula to winning the GP's that includes multiplying the time of day by the shittyness of the track, which in this case reveals that the track is too damn smooth.

RV has how many championships?? And you say nothing gained by practicing on that track? You must be A multi time World Champion.

Well as you can see this is in Lelystad which is in Flevoland which isn't in Noord-Holland or Zuid-Holland.
