thats insane,

you see them getting lapped and they look like amateurs but i'm guessing they can win 450 a class orels they don't get their ama licence. is that right?

yeah of course, but they still had to get their ama licence right? meaning they are a class fast, or am i wrong. i dont really know the gritty details about securing an ama licence.

Just because there are 40 spaces , doesnt mean there are 40 riders capable of filling them.

If you are 25 secs a lap off the pace, you shouldnt be there, its ok saying there wer 80 riders trying to qualify , but everyone 50th back has not got the speed to be there .

If the 30 riders in GP's were all fit , the slowest is 6 secs off, thats what you need to have. A deep field isnt neccessarily a full field

I had my pro license in '88-'90 but never signed up to try and qualify for a pro national. I was in college and/or wrapping up college at the time, and I knew I didn't have the fitness to go the duration during a national at that time, and I might have had the speed to qualify on a good day (lack of riding time while in school). But I never signed up as even if I did qualify, I didn't want to interfere with the top riders fighting for a championship.

Of course, back then, you didn't qualify on time, you had to get in via a qualification race or an LCQ. Still would have been cool to tuck in behind Coop, or Kehoe, Holland, or several others and try to pick up on their lines, braking points, etc. oh well, at 48 I guess I'll never know.

I don't understand you guys hate for Barcia..the dudes fighting for a championship and is passionate about racing. You mean to tell me you've never got into a quarrel with someone at the track? And my god we all know how important local races are to be getting into a fight at your track..imagine being in his shoes. Who gives a fuck? The guy has a lot riding on him, and most likely both riders brushed it off moments after anyway. Yall read into shit to much..
