"We have to go."

Cool! Dungey, Tomac and Martin or Baggett. That will be a solid team.

What would be awesome would be to put Tomac or Canard on a 250...

dunge, trey and tomac is my pic. I'm all for letting rookies have shots at it but we need a win. send the experience and current fast guys. turn Trey loose on the twofiddy.

Tomac back on a 250 would be unreal. Throw canard in his 450 spot and we'd be top notch.

this is very true, but the wildcard is he's never been in a crazy high pressure (country on your shoulders type) of race. I'd rather see trey or eli go but i wouldn't mind seeing if martin can kick ass there either.

No one has been in that situation until they've been in that situation - meaning there's a first time for everyone.

If we only sent people who had been there... we'd never have a team.

JM seems pretty grounded - turn him loose and let's see what he's got.

On a side note - the French seem to be making a mistake not sending Movin's Marv. He really seems to be coming around lately and looked great at Washougal. Gotta love politics.

Blake Bagget's poor starts would scare me. I think RD ET and JM can win it!

oh i get it. any of the choices are gonna have plenty of chances over the next couple years is my guess. being a 250 rider thats probably gonna do a lot of mid pack riding and trying to pass big bikes. I would rather cooper webb over martin...I think he passes better but not as consistent obviously.

either way this should be good. I'm glad dungey decided to go, hes a good pillar for the rest to form a solid team around.

Martin will be fine...His training partner and the owner of his training facility will make sure he is ready....they do have a little experience in this MXDN thing.

Dungey, Canard, Tomac..Assuming Tomac would be willing to ride the 250. Not taking anything away from Martin, I'd just rather see him with another year under his belt before going. The beginning of SX season makes me think another year of experience would benefit him. Looks like a good team either way

Ditto.

No such thing as MXoN.

Just because a lot of people like to be wrong doesn't make them right.

450 Riders have a hard time stepping down to smaller displacements. Leave Dungey & Tomac on 450's & give the young gun a shot. That's a very solid team.

Dungey
Tomac
Trey

That would be the best team...agreed. But put Canard on a 250? Instead of Tomac? Has anyone on the planet ever ridden a 250 any faster than Tomac did at the end of last season? If we want to win at all costs...put ET back on a 250 with Trey and Dungey on 450s. I am sure ET would be willing...

Cooper Webb or Martin one of them would leave a blue streak..

It's a tough call, but I think Dungey, Tomac and Martin are the best choice.

The bright side is any of the combinations mentioned above are a very strong team.

I suspect with Cairoli stepping down, there would probably be less resistance than otherwise. I don't see a downside to Honda for allowing it.

if i had to keep Eli on 450 i would send martin over #41 for speed in the lites....but I think Trey deserves it more...hes a great ambassador for our sport and the USA and hes put his time in....and performed well in the past. He'd give it %110 and no one can deny that.

man there is no question that a 5, 41, 3 would be solid as a rock team.
