I wouldn't know, I was only able to watch the 2nd moto and the Tv coverage only showed him in the last couple laps.

Ridingwise he is finally back to where he was in 2014 on the KTM. Can't remember one race last season where he looked that confident and "special" like the first two rounds this year. Hope he brings it every race till the end this season.

It's different to 2014, or any other time. The last few rounds of sx, and mx so far, I've never seen him ride so relentless and maintain that aggression the whole moto. He's been able to make quick early passes before, but his leads never really grew significantly once he had them. Now he's pulling 15+ second leads, which he's never done before.

I think his fitness is at his best.He can hold the speed til the end,the best Roczen i've seen.

He is amazing to watch. His speed is incredible. Even the last few rounds of sx he was on fire aND has carried that momentum.

His line choice and the efficiency with which he is executing obstacles and eating up ground is pretty damn impressive! Last year Eli looked like he was going to nuke the field and so far this year Kenny looks like he is putting a sleeper hold on everybody!

To me, that looks like a man who knows exactly the way his bike is going to react. Kenny has found what he wants out of the bike and can focus on his riding. Which is precisely what he said in his interview. Dungey is in for a long season if Kenny and Eli stay healthy. We as fans are the lucky ones. On the flip side, Barcia clearly is struggling with bike setup/mental confidence. Here's hoping he gets it together.

Zycki11 you summed up the first two races in one small neat paragraph!

Reminds me a lot of RV back in 2013, didn't really matter where he started, he'd be going for the lead within the first 3 laps. Opening laps are just insane in terms of speed and intensity. We've seen Roczen have a mid season "slump" before so I hope he can keep it going. I also hope Eli can get some starts and run up there, if you're trying to pass 5 or so people while the guys you're trying to beat are running away in first and second then obviously you're not going to beat them.

The part about the midseason slump will be a interesting side plot. Roczen always stated that Baker had him on a tight diet and he always felt tired and weak. Steak with mac n cheese should help haha.

Sorry that I just picked your post, but I think I read that "if Tomac can get a start" stuff a lot here the last couple of hours. You guys did watch the first moto, right? The moto where Tomac was in front of Roczen in the first corner? Or for example moto 1 in Hangtown, where Tomac was right on Kens Backwheel in the first or second corner? It is not that Tomac can't get a start, right now he is just not as efficient as Roczen in first few laps. That might change soon, but he already had some good enough starts to hang with #1 and #94.

Roczen looks like RC used to in the first few laps. Everybody else is working out the kinks while Kenny is goooone.

Kenny is riding real good right now and showing that the suzook is a good bike. will be sad to see him on a different brand next season.. I hope it doesn't bite him in the ass when he changes over..

Roczen is a joy to watch at the moment but I hope Dungey and Tomac can take it to him. Seeing these three in some epic bar to bar battles will make for a great season.
