Only at the half way point, but its looking more and more like a $7 part is costing Kenny a shot at a perfect season.

It just shows how crazy it is RC was able to do it twice and James once . So much can go wrong , its not just the riders speed but a total team effort.

Maybe not a perfect season, even with the $7 part, but still I am super impressed by what he did so far.

I am a fan, but didnt expect that at all. He is the most improved rider this year. I was thinking Tomac would do that.

He is on a roll right now, I am sure he sees the big picture so to ride safe should be the main focus.

He is the FMOTP

There is but you have to admit it really looks like its going to take some bad luck for him to lose a moto right now.

Has anybody looked in what place he was after, let`s say, turn two in moto2 at RedBud? I don`t think he was top10 off the start.

I agree 100% with you on that. With Dungey out and Eli sorting his things out, Kenny is cleaning house.

Tomac is good in the sand, but Roczen's probably better at it.

I really hope that somebody beats him straight up once or twice so he won't have that one moto haunting him forever. That would suck (as much as going 23/24 and making millions can possibly suck).

Perfect season is 24-0. Can Roczen pitch a no hitter? FUCKING YES! He could go 12-0

Honestly, if he goes 23-1 then that's good enough to call it a perfect season for me given that he was leading when he had his problem.

I know it's not technically a perfect season, but it effectively is.

People forget Bubba went 23-1 in 2004 outdoors in the 125 due to a burnt clutch at Red Bud. 23-1 no one cares.

Don't kid yourself, they're all "straight up". They start on the same line, same finish line and same risk of injury, mechanical failure, injury, etc...

I've mentioned it a time or twenty, but that's why it's called racing!

Legends like Carmichael and McGrath use terms like 'straight-up' regularly. Did you feel like correcting Dungey at Glen Helen when he said he was "handed a gift" by Kenny? A few people will always be upset about it, but let's not kid ourselves about who's kidding themselves. It's called bench racing, not bench wrenching.

It's impossible to imagine Tomac not winning any motos this year. He was improving relative to Roczen for like 3 weeks in a row until Red Bud. Remember 2014? Roczen had just about his best performance of the season at Red Bud, then immediately looked vulnerable at Budds Creek the next weekend.

I don't think this is the same Roczen, physically. He'll be fine. But look at Tomac. That same Red Bud race, Roczen blew by him on his way to the moto 1 win. But two weeks later at Millville, Eli got his teeth into Roczen and didn't let go. He "broke him", so said everyone. Not sure if either of these guys is breakable. They'll hook up again soon.

He's on a different level. It's amazing to watch. If he wins the rest of the season I will count it as perfect season.

It could just as easily be argued that KR's "perfect season" (minus his mechanical) was gifted by Dungey's exit. The chances that Dungey would have won a few more are higher than not.

Kenny is as dialed-in as any rider I've seen in my 40+ years of following the sport. I dare say, GOAT-like. That being said, every time I watch him, I have to wonder if moving to the Honda next year will stunt his progress. It took him almost two seasons to get the RMZ setup to his liking, and that was supposed to be a platform he was comfortable with. Watching him transition to a new manufacturer, who is (presumably) rolling out a brand new bike next year will be interesting.

Roczen is probably the second best sandrider in the world behind Herlings.Wink
