Last time they did a right hand start was Jacksonville a few years ago and it was a catastrophe.
RV didn't even make it to the main because of it.

A lot of risk being put onto the riders

The rhythm section is bad, but not nearly as bad as the first whoop section. It's claimed about 20 people tonight so far.

They shouldn't have a rhythm section like that. It's not the turn. Rider safety definitely isn't high with this line.

Lol, maybe that's a sign you should put the drink down and quit thinking of what needs to be illegal. Ima bet you've gotten through right hand first turns. I know I have.

Maybe they should include them more often, and the field would gain some experience with them. Real problem is the immediate rhythm lane after the start.

NASCAR drivings race road courses along with ovals. It is called adapting to the track they are presented. Maybe SX riders should practice turning to their right without eating shit

Adapting: fitting an old hot start lever/perch with a line to the rear brake. I call it the "MacGyver"

I wasn't very happy with the right hand turn right into a rhythm section. It caused wrecks in nearly every race, which wasn't a surprise.

Seems to be a lot of confused flat track fans on here.
You jokers should get someone to help you rid your home of all sharp objects. Much safer that way.

Maybe not illegal....just don't do them...if it goes into a "sweeper" rather than a sharp turn maybe, but there is usually not that type of room in a stadium. Makes no sense when you need to use a back break to pivot. The sport is dangerous enough on its own.

Time for you to run off to Wal-Mart and pick up a new tube of Vagasil and a bottle of Midol.... Right hand turn at the start have been a fact of life in MX ans SX from day 1. If more riders would practice more dealing without being able to use a front or rear brake they can overcome some of the issues of going into a rhythm section right after a right hand turn. it looked like a lot of riders that got into trouble were the ones that could not hold there line into the corner.

I have raced a few times where i lost the front brake and still raced to the checker flag. 1 race was so muddy i lost both brakes from mud packing onto the rotors and still raced the the checker flag.

Southwick (depending on the year)...right-hander.
Glen Helen...right-hander.
Millville...right-hander.
Unadilla...right-hander.
RedBud...left-hand kink into a...right-hander.

San Diego 2...right-hander.
