Michael Lindsay just made a trip over to the birthplace of Husqvarna to check out the new bikes. Get some of his impressions here...

It sounds like the 350 would be the bike to have if you had to settle on one. If you could have two, I would add the 125. I would probably switch the order, and maybe get the 350 later. Hmmm decisions decisions ...

Posted at the bottom of all his product reviews...

Michael Lindsay- is a born-and-raised moto freak and gearhead from the heart of motocross in Southern California. First swinging a leg over a bike at the age of five, he immediately caught the racing bug, spending nearly every weekend behind a gate…and a lot of time on the couch while injured. While swinging back and forth between moto and the off-road scene, giving him a wide range of experience on the bike. Of course, all of this led to one thing: Lindsay loves working on his bikes almost as much as he loves talking about them. When he’s not in the Vital MX forum or writing his latest product review, you can find him out at the track taking dirt naps, snapping some pictures, or drooling over the latest parts for his bike. With an outspoken personality, gearhead background, and as Vital MX’s guru for product, Michael is here to share his unbiased opinion.

He's also always looking to build his pool of testers from among our site members. If you think you've got the goods to test products, hit him up.

Some people are actually interested in helping out, and they've scored some cool goodies.

I was just joking around, I'm sure it would be a great way to get and try some new products.

I applied, but was pretty new around here at the time and never got a response. I'll have to private message him.

Most my off-road racing experience has been more towards hare and hounds, worcs, etc. So I'm not used to being that tight and slow, the section heading along the railroad tracks just takes forever. But I kind of liked the later half when it got back into the sand. Who'd you go for?

Nice! But why no mention of the special retro styling offerings being offered for 2015? Whistling

I've pretty much settled on getting a 2015 FC250. It's finally time for me to make the switch over to the 4T and I'm going to get a Husky!

Can I persuade you to wait a year? The KTM/Husky will be getting major updates to the chassis in '16. Wait for the '15 FE 450 to be released and see if it's worth waiting. IMO it doesn't make sense to drop 9k on a bike that will be outdated 6 months later

Those Huskys are the first bikes in 20 years that got my worm to wiggle.

Question is, is the 2015 KTM 350 SXF identical to the Husky 350? I know the sub frame is different, but what else?

Looking to buy the KTM when they arrive, but the Husky would be a cool and different way to go if their 350 is close to the same machine.

Yes, they will be mostly the same. It will have a map switch stock, higher quality rims, hand guards and a few other things beside the subframe that is different. Like I said above though.... Do yourself a favor and wait for the '16s which are supposed to get significant changes

How does the works exemption work?

Can they change it thru out the year or build it at the beginning of the year with all they plan to use?

I'm gonna plow and prep my track this fall and give Mike a key to my barn with a place to park his practice bike.
