I'm thinking of getting a custom painted lid this year for the downhill season and I want to send my helmet to someone who's not going to sit on it for 4 months before getting started. I'd like to see turn around of 6 weeks or less. Anyone have any recommendations for a helmet painter that is reliable and does a pretty good job? My experience (as well as many others I know) in the past has not been good with these types of companies.

"Shades of Gray" is getting a lot of exposure and is hard core moto, sponsoring quite a few riders.

You can find them on Facebook as well.

Days filled with paint fumes usually doesn't make for reliable business practices.

This thread has motivated me to get a helmet custom painted. Gonna start with either a 6D or a shoei..
