How many of you are running a Rekluse clutch?

After stalling and crashing 2 times my last ride I am thinking about getting the Rekluse EXP.

Me. I race off road but I love them. The Core EXP is awesome too-I've had one of the old Z-Start Pro's and while it was pretty good, the new stuff feels like a regular clutch when you want but kicks ass when you get tired/make a mistake/etc.

I have a Rekluce EXP 3.0 in my 2016 350 SXF and my 2013 300 XC. I ride for the most part as if it is a regular clutch. However when a make an old mans mistakeWoohooSillyWhistlingTongueLaughingWhistling

I love mine!

But if you get one, get the CORE EXP 3.0...the $900 one. The Z-start pro, and even the EXP disc don't have the same results.

That is the one I am thinking about.

I race off-road and have one in my 450 xcf. It's the best thing to have out there. The $900 is the way to go. Kinda takes some getting used to and the clutch pull itself is kinda tough but all around a great thing to have

The $900 includes a new adjustable clutch slave cylinder right?

I didn't notice any increased clutch pull on either of the ones that I've had.

People would ride my bike and not even know a rekluse was in it.

It's not just for old guys, I'm 21 and I love mine in my yz250. I only have the friction disk rather than the whole system, so my clutch pull is a little stiff, but for the mix of moto and offroad that I do I wouldn't want to go back. For track only I could live without it, but whenever I get into some really technical trails it's worth its weight in gold. There's been plenty of times where I've needed to hit the rear brake in the air and haven't been able to get to the clutch in time (I don't care how fast anyone claims they are, it happens to everyone), and having that safety net of the motor not stalling is well worth the stiffer lever pull for me. If you get the full system that wont be a problem, but I'm on a budget.

I've had one for a couple of years and I can't imagine going without one. My local suspension guy Jeff Plawecki (JPSpeed) is the master of install and setup. Mine has worked flawlessly since day 1.

I've got over 200 hours on my Core EXP 2.0 on my KTM 300 xc, and I have yet to have to adjust it once. Same clutch plates too! I measure them every 50 hours just to be sure. It's unreal how long the clutch plates last with the Rekluse. I used to go through plates every 50 hours during racing seasons hear in Florida's deep sand. Not anymore! Oh, and it feels the same as stock.

We install them all the time and always tell customers that if they don't like it we will do a full refund including the install price..........never had to worry about it.

I've spent a lot of money on aftermarket parts ($300 extra light seat foam anyone?) And aside from getting your suspension set up right The EXP is the most beneficial mod I've ever made. It literally makes you a better rider. Buy it without hesitation.

$900 on a Rekluse or $900 on suspension? Honestly...I'm not sure which I'd pick (the ReKluse is that good).

I had one on my last 3 bikes but had a race where it came out of adjustment and was slipping under load in deep sand. Other than that it's a great product. I've gone back to a traditional clutch since then.

I have the core EXP on my CRF450 and it really is the best $900 I've ever spent. I do a mix of MX and off road (and was considering buying a 250/300 2 stroke for off road) but it made my CRF so much more rideable in the really gnarly stuff (and the stock CRF clutch used to fade something horrible anyway). The benefit that I wasn't expecting was on MX starts. I used to pull only very occasional holeshots (mixed in with some terrible starts), but now I'm top 2 or 3 every start - it just adds that consistency

Only thing preventing me from taking the plunge is when I get caught on slick hilly trail rides, near on impossible walking/manoeuvring the bike on a failed hillclimb attempt without being able to lock up the rear wheel with the clutch lever.

I love my exp 3.0. Wish I would of had it through out my racing days, I would not have given the race away in the last lap that 100 times. Lol One of the first add ons to any new bike for me.

Oh, I was under the impression you lose engine breaking, etc with the recluse, which I use a fair bit fordownhills,

Nope, just like stock. I've had people ride my bike and I didn't tell them about the clutch....they didn't notice.

Maybe it's different with the full system, but with mine the back wheel will not lock up when the clutch is out walking down a hill. This was a big concern for me since I do hillclimbs to, but it has surprisingly not been a problem for me like I thought it would. In an absolute worst case scenario, you can back the tension off of you clutch cable until there is play at the lever again, then re-adjust the free play gain once you are down at the bottom. I've never had to do this and I wouldn't recommend it, but sometimes you have to do what you have to do out there.

Edit: You will also still have engine braking at speed. It might not be quite as much as before, but it's definitely still there and usable.
