No union is ever good.
That's not 100% accurate. We could be working like the Chinese. Well the workers in China are organizing for livable wages, so companies are now outsourcing to Vietnam and other countries.

So if you want to live like the Vietnamese worker and a Chinese worker it could all be happening today without unions demanding better conditions.

That's a whole different thread. But all unions aren't bad man.

If the riders want better pay and a more uniformed decision making process on penalties they'd have to stand together somehow. These guys put their life on the line. To possibly be crippled and not taken care of afterwards. I wouldn't work my job without benefits. Riders race and work just as hard as anyone with no benefits.

Did Reed know exactly what condition Canard was in?

Answer that, and you'll know why he was DQd.

good thing there was a black flag in 20 laps #41 would of run his ass down anyways. If Reed was faster then Canard, Canard
would of never caught Reed to land on him in the FIRST PLACE.

Reed's a team owner he ain't starting no union, what riders going to do go on strike?

Although I'm not really a fan of private unions (public unions should be illegal), there is certainly a time and place for them. Many years ago they served a very, very useful purpose.

Well, so much for your country then............ It is, after all, a Union of States.

Just think a bit., if you are capable of it.

Come on, be brave, and think outside of whatever your indoctrination. has been. I've never been a member of a union - well, other than when Motorcycling Australia (our AMA / FIM) was the Auto Cycle Union, but I recognize they have been a key component of the average man, not being forever a serf to those with control / money...

I kinda laugh at people saying Unions are BS...

Look at history... They've got shit done. The big wigs might not always like it, and like each end of the spectrum they've occasionally taken the piss, but I don't think average joe realises how much Unions do for a lot of people.

+1

I'm in the Utility Workers of America Local 104 and most days I happy about it. That is, until a fucktard does something stupid, or shows up late/drunk and they stick up for his dumb ass. That's frustrating, because although I'm pushing a crew, and they're licking windows in the corner, we get the same wages.

Small teams and dealer ship teams would fold with riders Union. Unions work for big corporations and large groups of people. With as little people that race pro motocross it wouldn't work.

I think Feld would shut down any attempt at a union by suspending riders. Plus, there are tons other riders who will jump at the chance to race in the main.

Personally, I think the only way around it would be to start a new series..which will never happen. For one Feld, I'm almost sure, has contracts with a lot of the stadiums that wouldn't allow another series to come in...plus it is not easy to get a supercross load of dirt in a stadium.

Also, I am aware that people will attack me for this...so just to clarify I am pro union for mx/sx and would love to see a new series....

you do realize that your first sentence describes exactly how a union and new series could be formed, right?

Reed is not as relevant as he thinks he is, and he does not have the pull he thinks he does.

One thing for sure, Reed did "piss the night away" with his actions.

It's not a rider union, it's the owner getting together to form something according to the 4x Manitoba Champ.

like a teams association?

that would almost be better, that way the riders dont have to stick their necks out and risk getting a ban or something
