Those of you who predicted it are going to be disappointed.

I say through 2018. That gives Webb a year to be a rookie then Reed does his farewell tour as Webb becomes top dog.

If he finishes top 5 in points why not run around for another year. Make it that bit harder to beat his podium records or maybe even beat him for wins in stadiums or overall.

He will win in the next couple weeks.
Stamp that.

Can you imagine if he passed Stew in wins? What is he, about 7 behind or so?

WoohooWoohooWoohoo

Solid season so far for sure, however you might want to pump them a time or two on that long downhill to make sure they still work.

Imagine if Dungey gets hurt and Reed builds a picket fence and takes the championship, I think he is a big chance in the championship who's the oldest ever SX champion?

MC at 29 in 2000.

Not sure Reedy can rely on out-dungey-ing Dungey... He's gonna have to pick it up on these long flat turns... His segments were quicker in the whoops by quite a way, slightly back and forth in the rhythm but he is dropping 1/4 to 1/2 a second on the big sweeper segments...

Will Dungey out Reedy Reed, or will Reed be able to out Dungey, Dungey?

Both have the reputation of not pushing the absolute edge ala Stew. RV and taking the long term approach to a championship.

I thought he was retiring anyway, isnt he always saying this is his last SX season?

Although I would see him staying at Yamaha and mentoring Webb or being team manager...

He has never said "this" is his last season... He said he maybe thought about if it might be done over the offseason...

sx only is a halfway retirement for me. but yeah, he'll be around for a bit longer unless he will get injured and that will change his mind. which I obviously don't wish him but it is a possibility in this sport.

Indeed. Heck, I had a feeling before the race that he might do it at A2. He's looking pretty damn impressive.

Webb doesn't need "mentoring" that much is known.
