Reedy loves playing mind games. It would be awesome to see him over here again though

Pretty awesome that he makes reservations for crashing at Marc de Reuver and Tony Cairoli's place Wink

I think he means racing a MXGP race - one of the sandy ones - not racing the entire series. Doesnt seem too unrealistic since he isn't racing the outdoors next year.

imo he will not do it.
He is always the guy who HATES the nats because of the tracks. And ours aren't anything compared to the Euro's unprepped, wet, rutted messes. Again, I say he will not go.

He's been hinting about it all day on Twitter. I doubt he'll do it...but then again, I'm sure he know he's at the end of his game, and if he can find the right sponsors to back him...why not?

That's actually the reason I think he should come. He has so much tecnique, a waste in the wide open, well prepped US tracks were fitness is more important.

Anyway I'll buy the SX only and some selected GP's idea, hes not doing the full thing imo

Right - he was relevant to bench racing there 15 years ago. What Reed would (or wouldn't) be able to do over there wouldn't be comparable to what RV did (win a race).

I can't figure out if some of you enjoy talking down about others, or are complete idiots who wish they did 1/10 of what chad has done. The guy has competed, and won each championship. If he wants to go to a sand track and rip it up to get 10th, 1st, or 18th. He has given himself the opportunity to do so.

He should build a YZ250+, run leaded fuel, put a Polaroid camera on his helmet and race SX; "stick it to the man"!

While the rest of the top pros are out burning up fuel and getting laps in to get ready for the next series or pre-series race Reed is casting bait and working those thumbs like crazy to keep people talking about him.

Ding-ding!!! I believe we have a winner! Smile

Actually, Reed better get something done quickly, IMO...or he'll be ill prepared to even make the main at A1.

How do you guys get off saying shit like this? You make it sound like every Nationals race is run on the Pala track that gets prepped every 5 laps... Do you even watch the Nationals? Our tracks don't require technique? Any chance you saw Musquin or Tomac throw it away on one of the most brutally rough MX tracks in recent history (Thunder Valley)?

In before "yeah but sand tracks bro"

EDIT: I'm not trying to turn this thread into yet another MXGP vs. Nationals debate because that is completely pointless. I'm just pointing out some stupid observations.

It is an excellent idea..... Reed to MXGP.

He is a class act and the MXGP list of riders is getting stronger and stronger every year.

It will give him a chance to shift to a different gear and enjoy the cool atmosphere at the GP's.

Then, once there, he just needs to do what RV was not able to do..... just concentrate on consistency and enjoy the ride !!!!

Actually reedy was out in Cali riding at the yamaha test track and is now back in floriday spinning laps. He will be riding blue and is training/riding like normal. Only thing left is what graphics are on his bike and where his paychecks are coming from.

Completely agree. I will never understand how people get off talking down on somebody who is 100X better at something than they ever were or will be. Only one guy can win and whoever isn't winning, there are members here ready to talk shit on them at any moment. There's a difference between bench racing and disrespecting the riders over and over. Not too many people here are real "fans" of the sport. If you were a fan of the sport, you would cheer for good racing, not against the riders.

To me it is completely and utterly irrelevant how Chad would do if he came to do a few GP's. It would be absolutely awesome to be able to go and see him ride for what might be his last ride in Europe and therefore the last chance for most of us to see him ride. He's a legend of the sport and has always been my favourite rider ever since I was a kid, so to see him out there would be great. I'm sure he'd enjoy the experience too being back in the GP paddock with some old faces. I'm fairly certain this is the main motivation behind Chad maybe considering it. Results would be a bonus, not a necessity

No the word your looking for is Whiner, and it's the usual suspects you turn up in every Reed thread To bag him out for every thing he says or does.

He said sand.

There are two sand races scheduled after the conclusion of SX, and one before.

And there are videos of him testing for supercross here , here, here and here
